Over-built GAA grounds that have never been filled

Are there any examples of GAA grounds that were enlarged but have yet to be filled to capacity?  Breffni Park?  Gaelic Grounds in Limerick?

Celtic Park in Derry, Brewster in Enniskillen, Pairc Esler in Newry, Athletics Grounds in Armagh - it would probably be quicker to list those that have been full.

Hasn't been filled since the redevelopment. Not helped by piss poor Galway team, which means piss poor Galway support.
Plus the last two Connacht finals have been played in the piss poor Hyde.

I seem to remember the Athletic Grounds being packed in the old days. Has it had a hard time being filled since it was redeveloped?

I think a lot of atmosphere and crowds have sadly disappeared from our games our the last 20 years.

At least we didn't spend our grandchildrens' inheritance on a stand that was so poorly designed it had to resort to pitch-facing girders to prevent it from collapsing in on the green hordes underneath it.

Complete White Elephant. Mayo GAA administrators trying to have their own mini Croker. Serious waste of Money, costing the clubs buckets of dosh. At a time where there is no dosh! Little or no championship action to attract the kind of crowds to justify it. And any back door games between Northern teams and western teams end up in the Hyde.

Maybe not, but I was therre in 04 when the Rossies got beaten by us in the Connacht final. 35K plus at that game.

newry has been full a few times. Any decent qualifier game it would be close to full. The stand is regularly full, even for most league games but when three sides are terracing it would take a brave crowd to fill it. Most down supporters are happy with the recent work done in newry, ive heard very few complaints about it.

Two qualifiers against tyrone and a game against meath in particular stand out as having big crowds.

NFL v Armagh a few years ago was close to full as well if I remember correctly.
