The constant refrain is that there is a choice to heat or eat, therefore it makes perfect sense to allocate benefit claimants a grocery card, especially for families with children.

Agree 100%, people and importantly children need to eat but don't need booze or fags.  If the grown ups want their extra 'luxuries' it might motivate them to do something about their circumstances, heaven forbid maybe look about job.

Going down that route the start of dictatorship for me. We gonna tell u what u can and cant do, what u can do with u money. Do i think people should spend their little money, on drink,and cigs, no. (I dont drink no of yrs now and dont smoke) But if u start there, next it be where u can assemble, u can already see them try to restrict this. U open a can of worms, it can be hard to close.
