From my perspective as someone who works with people who have varying disabilities,I love the Paralympics.We are celebrating the beauty of humanity and diversity which was displayed throughout the Opening Ceremony which was fantastic especially at the end with the song "I am what I am" which just summed up the ethos of the Paralympics.This will be filled with excellence throughout especially from Team Ireland:)

Wow,what an amazing achievement for Jason Smyth.He just won his second gold medal and set a new world record.Four Gold medals in just 24hours for Team Ireland.The Paralympians really are the true Olympic inspirations.Come on Team Ieland:)

This is no big deal for Jason Smyth he should have gone to the big event too. He was just outside the A standard for that.

RTE have missed the boat twice in one day with the paralympics and the notre dame game being big Irish events they just passed over.

The fastest athlete ever in the history of the paralympics being from Ireland is quite an achievement.
