Personally and I've said that no contentious march should never go through unless proper thoughtful meditation is done to come to an agreement, all done without the glare of the media and social media agitators.

Had they went to the Garvaghy rd residents via some intermediary and said look, we are looking a way out to save face, we are willing (if agreed) to do a one and done in the morning at 8am no colours or bands, can we do that?

It would probably got better traction than the shit show they allowed to happen under Bryson and Lockhart.. not saying they would have agreed but this has turned on them massively

I'd say the determination may have been upheld via courts and that's why they have pulled it

Friday was probably their last chance to get a determination from the commissioner before he pissed off for the weekend and they couldn't take the risk that come Monday the parade would be deemed lawful leaving a decision to ban the march on much more controversial grounds. Interesting that the statement suggests the PC have informed the SOS that they made an error in their decision which would make you wonder why they challenged Mondays appeal at all.

Michelle was decent enough. Got  her points across well.

One thing I noticed was  very little reaction from the audience.  It was as if most of them  were FF/FG voters , or didn't understand or  care about  the Garvaghy Road residents. Which  was probably the case

On a side note , one thing that is constantly mentioned is  how would unionists be accommodated /treated in a United Ireland?  A hell of a lot better that Catholics were since  the formation of   the sectarian statelet , that's for F**kin sure.
