Yeah - schoolboy error

Quote from: trueblue1234 on October 17, 2025, 07:41:31 PMThat time of year again when the tar turns a nice green hue.
What do most of you do to treat the dreaded moss on the tar. Have just sprayed it so hoping that will kill it off. But then still need to remove it. Has anyone hired one of those pedestrian road sweepers to give it a good clean to remove the dead moss? Trying to avoid the powerhosing as not good for the tar apparently.

Sprayed the moss on the tarmac with Algae remover this time - finished by power hosing it off.
Useless.
Missing a few stones from tarmac now and all of the moss is still there.

Has anyone names of products that actually removed the moss?

Just spray it on and let the rain wash it off?

93-DY-SAM

Yeah - you mix it to a ratio depending on the strength you want it at and how bad the area to treat is. Gives you instructions - but you just spray it on and leave it. Takes a few weeks for it to start working.

Only prob is this country is too wet and too cold for too long, so any moss or algae will keep coming back. It's just a constant battle of the wills.

Any decent picks on grass trimmers (or strimmer)? I don't want one with the wire, as I can't be bothered with adjusting it all the fecking time, cordless and maybe handy enough that maybe she can try it  ;D
None of us are getting out of here alive, so please stop treating yourself like an after thought.

Heart's broke with the dogs pissing on the lawn. Any treatments or recommendations to help with the burn patches. I've put top dressing and reseeded it etc. it has improved slightly but the f**kers just keep ruining it. And I'm not getting rid of the dogs before someone suggests that.

Not sure what you  want them to do. Dogs will  do what they do.

Where  would you prefer they pissed?

Over the flowers and kill them? On the doorstep?

I've one that won't poop or pee on the grass and the other could go for a ten mile walk and wait till he's in his garden before pooping and peeing, think female pee is stronger?

If you can use treats to retrain the dog they are clever enough to work out where to pee so they get a treat!

They go where they go. But I was asking for treatments or recommendations that could possibly help with dog piss in the garden. But thanks for your words of wisdom.

I wasn't trying to  be sarcastic. As MR2 says , prevention better than  the alternative.
