A treatment called Acelepryn is used here by golf courses etc. I managed to get my hands on some a few years ago and it was fantastic. My lawn had been nearly completely destroyed due to a bad infection of LJs. Within months the lawn was recovering. But you would need to makes sure you get someone who knows what their at to put it down. It's restricted so not easy to get a hold of.

Cheers! Looks like the right gear ok. Very expensive by the looks of it. £800+ for 600ml although i assume there is a different trade price.

Tragic story of a Cork man  who died from an allergic reaction to wasp stings , while out cutting  the garden hedge

Mad that something  so simple can have such  consequences

Put out plenty of bird seed and the birds will sort them out!

Lots of worms  are a  good sign  in a  garden though. Good for drainage and  shows the soil is good

Olly

Yea but I don't want them. They're unsightly at garden parties.

You can swap wire out for slightly larger diameter which would take more abuse.

google the trimmer you have for alternatives.

Your garden is nature. Nature is insects and animals. Your candlelit smoked salmon supper guests will have to realise that.  ;D
