20m is a good price. He's back in the saddle after his time in the Netherlands. He made a lot of progress after a bit of a blip.

I was looking up sporting heroes for a project I am working on . Some of the most outstanding ones like Dermot Earley, Rena Buckley, Ashling thompson, Eamonn O Hara, Dan shanahan, Kevin Cassidy were on Laochra Gael.

Is there anything similar for soccer?

I'd say your best bet is standalone documentaries. RTE did one called Giles. Another is The Paul McGrath Story.

You can't get the breadth with individual ones. It's a pity there isn't a series for soccer. There are so many inspirational players.

What a time for Troy Parrott to score his first goal in La Liga, substitute against Real Madrid.

The winner too, against Mourinho's Real Madrid (who gave him his debut).

George Best's story about Ferenc Puskás in Australia: "I was with (Bobby) Charlton, (Denis) Law, and Puskás, we were coaching in a football academy in Australia. The youngsters we were coaching did not respect him including making fun of his weight and age. We decided to let the guys challenge a coach to hit the crossbar 10 times in a row, obviously, they picked the old fat one. Law asked the kids how many they thought the old fat coach would get out of ten. Most said less than five. Best said ten. The old fat coach stepped up and hit nine in a row. For the tenth shot, he scooped the ball in the air, bounced it off both shoulders and his head, then flicked it over with his heel and cannoned the ball off the crossbar on the volley. They all stood in silence then one kid asked who he was, I replied, "To you, his name is Mr. Puskás

He was under pressure to play kids but José is José. Parrott got two substitute appearances and then buried in the reserves. No more talk of youths.

St Pat's will be raging, so many chances to beat Bohs in the quarters there tonight. Palmer with a stinker.

Bohs should win the cup now but the three others will quietly fancy their chances!
