Any word of co-operation between the County Board and Ulster Council? With Eire Og in the Ulster Intermediate hurling final and now the County Final on the same day, surely a compromise can be reached? Paul Hughes plays for both teams and surely it would go against the ethos of the whole association to force him to make a choice one way or the other? I'm sure both managers would want their best players available. Also in terms of the supporters, a solution would need to be found. Seriously unfair to ask someone to choose between a county final or an ulster final, heres in hope rather than expectation!

Are Peader McMahon, Pearse Cunningham, Paul Daly and Finny Magill not playing for the hurlers this year either?

'To the extreme I rock a mic like a vandal, light up a stage and wax a chump like a candle.'

Wee Roddy

No none of the above have played hurling this year. The demands are too great as the hurlers also play in the Armagh league. With the football taking up to 4 nights a week at times and hurling 3 it became too much. Its a pity too because all 4 are great hurlers too.
You need hurling matches to improve but the clubs strive for improvements has meant the demise if the dual player. Its catch 22.
Paul Hughes is the exception, but he is the exception to a lot of things ;)

Congrats to Carmen, surprised it took them so long to realise that to bat Omagh you just have to roughen things up a bit and test their testicular fortitude.

Any word on who the new County minor managers are going to be, heard rumours but not sure who's getting the post?

Mickey Donnelly of Aghaloo is taking over the county minors. Unsure of his back-room team. Official annoucement expected in next few days.

Aye for all their talk of not be walked over any more, whatever that was about, Omagh didn't have the middle for it.

EC Unique

Congrats to Carmen and good luck in the Final. I think they will have too much for Coalisland. We were terrible this year against Coalisland in the championship and still only a kick of a ball in it so I fancy Carmen for the win.

KIDDO 4

please note change of time for Gr.1 U.18 Championship Final, Throw In
time now 1.30pm, to avoid any Clash with Omagh Ladies in Ulster Junior

Expect them to try to box next time they play Carmen. On recent form it appears to be their way to prove themselves after bottling it.

No point worrying about these things now Big Frank.  You had enough games during the year to get points to stay up.
