So did the new proposals get shot down or whats the story?

no they did not. Some man got up and quoted a rule where these changes cannot happen. Some clubs are prepared tp pay without their county players so there is a possibility that games in the league will go ahead with those clubs who have no county players and the cluibs who have county players but are prepared to play anyway. The clubs who have county players and are not prepared to play will continue to watch the rest of us ;D

clarshack

if the tyrone ifc & jfc winners need to be known by 19th oct to be able to play in ulster, does anyone genuinely believe that the tyrone ifc & jfc will be played in time? the whole thing is a f*ckin mess! normally i would be against changing rules/regulations during the season but something had to be done for the greater good.

amongthebushes

I know our club didnt vote for the change as we are not in a favourable league position, we would have a better chance of avoiding the bottom two rather than bottom four and a relegation playoff in November/ december would be a complete lottery. We were told that if the change didnt go through the next league fixture would be the first weekend of November as the championship is going to be played out first to get a representative for ulster as you cannot nominate a club to represent your county anymore!! Its gonna be a long year!!!

So are there going to be senior league fixtures this weekend or not ?

Bomber

The only championship action to apparently look forward to will be in Omagh this weekend with a JFC double header, us vs. Newtown and the Strabane vs. Augher replay.

So are Newtown willing to play without Packie?

Norf Tyrone

Believe it or not Packie doesn't always get picked for Newtown. Earlier in the year they were rotating their keepers!

Division III result:

Strabane Sigersons 1-05, Glenelly 0-06.

Typical derby fare it seems, but very important result for Sigersons.
Carlsberg don't do Gombeenocracies, but by jaysus if they did...

Fear ón Srath Bán

Sláinte orangeman! Not quite there yet -- we're four points clear at the top on 24 from Glenelly, Drumquin and Brocagh on 20, with three games left for ourselves and Brocagh, and two each for Glenelly and Drumquin.
