Psychological. They bottled and Edendork played to their strengths. Big Conn was incredible too.

Seems to me, in a lot of cases, that after a good performance/victory, teams find it hard to get up to that same level again in the next game.

Whether that's the emotional, psychological, or physical side of things, who knows? Maybe a combination of all three.

And then throw in playing a decent team with probably the best goalkeeper in Ireland, a midfielder who is in the form of his life and one of the best in the country and a forward in McCurry who is capable of anything (albeit had a quiet evening last might). It was really set up for an ambush from Edendork.

Errigal as expected. Lough tbf gave it a heros try at death.

Missed peno from McCullagh who hit post last yr vs Carmen.

They missed 2 pt free and McElholm had one big wide [2pt]at critical time. Be interesting to see stats on kickouts.

Errigal were 17-8 with 14mins to go I think?

County final atmosphere and winners were deciced today. Errigal 2026

0-19 to 1-13 at end.

And the wait for a back to back goes on. Best club championship in the country. And you're right, definitely felt like a final with the crowd there

Errigal better team. Fair play to Lough operating as a townland versus a multi parish superpower.

Maybe time for a new penalty taker!

DaleCooper

God help anyone in opposite stand.

Lough fans attempted to mustard gas Enda McGinley..to no avail.

Has county board not realised theres a claim waiting to happen with flares or they dont bother doing anything about it?

Errigals depth incredible. RC had upset his injury and didnt want to go full pelt.

No matter. Tommy Canavan, ciaran mcginley went on.

Million

Errigal deserved winners, Lough left it too late to get started or put a hand on them. Experience in the Errigal side massive.

Hurson had a very average game today. Thought he was favourable to Errigal with any softer / 50/50 calls.

Yup hurson was very inconsistent. Not sure if any major bad bias either way. Ie hed let game flow for a spell then go stop /starty.

Its ferocious cship crazy ball.

There was a call for breach against errigal but it think was within margin.

TwoUpTwoDown

Thought Hurson was inconsistent also. Maybe gave Errigal a few soft ones  but definitely could have given them a few more obvious ones in last 10 when trying to get out. Lough getting away with plenty then. But overall maybe Errigal got slightly more calls

Hurson had a horrible game. In particular with any tackle on Canavan. Harte avoided a very clear black card that would have avoided in a red card. Brutal.

Yeah it was hard to see some as I was on other side. Harte and canavan were up to Gods classic free buying shenanigans as well.

Thought he was poor today in general while I was at the match and after chatting to ones from both clubs after they were both annoyed with him...just rewatched it and boys a dear Lough got some handy calls. First 10mins alone got way with a breach and 3 handy frees, he seemed to be consistent with that from then on. Errigal should have been out of sight, some bad calls, too many wides and them taking the foot off the pedal could have bit them in the ass. Edendork could catch them if they get a purple patch in the last quarter and the games in the melting pot.

It's mad the likes of breaches are being missed in championship games when some eejits are calling them in league games.

Capknee

I thought it was a game of attrition. Both teams done excellent jobs of cancelling the main men out. Errigal got the scores at the right times and I thought it was going to be a hammering. Fair play to Lough, had Errigal on the ropes in the last 10 and missed a peno.  If Errigal can nullify like they did today..it's hard to see am Edendork victory
