They were. They looked like they mean business and Killyclogher are no mugs. As good as I seen over the weekend. Should have a handy one v Galbally in the next round

Galbally have launched an appeal on their loss. Not to be surprised from a cowardly club trying to scrape back some dignity. Any other club would take thier medicine. Galbally had 3/4 chances to put that game out of reach. Embarrassing going to the CCC

It's now in the Irish News.  Galbally player fouled a Trillick player.  Linesman tried to alert ref.  Ref misheard linesman, thought it was Trillick player who fouled a Galbally player.  So the ref played advantage for Galbally, and they got a point off that passage of play.  Then the linesman clarified to the ref, who realised the free should have been the other way, and he was wrong to play an advantage.  So the score was scrubbed, and Trillick was awarded a non-sowing free. So it's incorrect to say that the "ref dealt with the incident".  He thought, wrongly, that it was a free for Galbally, and then corrected himself.  Galbally seem to think that, if you foul somebody, you should get an opportunity to try for a score before the free against you is taken lol.  Galbally was 7 or 8 points up with only a quarter of the game left – they have nobody but themselves to blame.   However, this year, Errigal looks to be sharper and with a fuller deck than either Trillick or Galbally, so whoever gets though will lose the next round anyway.   Trillick doesn't even have their preferred midfield pairing available to them.

Killyclogher gone.... Be some Hyroxs booked this evening, won't be a coffee bean or yoga class available in Omagh tomorrow.

A really under whelming KC performance, they never got going. Especially the two McCanns they weren't interested whatsoever. The Hayes brothers did seem to be trying but did have a lot of basic errors too. That said EC were pretty decent for a team seemingly missing so many, they sped it up and slowed it down as needed, although it made for a boring watch.

I wonder why KC had 4 starters benched, maybe took injured EC for granted?

Errigal, Lough & Carmen have to be the 3 teams up for it this year. Think league campaigns meant almost nothing this year when you look at the weekend's games.

Ruari Canavan did warm up for Errigal but couln't play the match, 2 weeks now to recover will he be back for Trillick? (Galbally not getting an appeal)

Lough will find it harder against Dungannon on Thursday night, Donaghy find it hard not to kick abit better was brutal last day out. He shouldn't be allowed to play in first place though.

Because Galbally are claiming he recorded the point before going back to the booking. Therefore the point should have stood as per the rulebook. I'd imagine Galbally have consulted with their club referee and not just pulling this out of their ass.

Early senior championship quarter final predictions

Carrickmore vs Donaghmore- will be a lot tighter than some may think, Donaghmore are a team filled with sharp skilled footballers but Carmen for me too strong and more likely to rise to the occasion, Carmen by 3 for me.

Trillick vs Errigal- galbally appeal aside, trillick didn't impress on Saturday. They showed bits and pieces but nothing too convincing. Errigal looked very promising last night even though killyclogher were poor, Errigal by 4.

Omagh vs Dungannon or Lough- Omagh with a good win yesterday afternoon but shouldn't be getting in the way of either of these team in the championship. Very very tough one to call between Lough and Dungannon but I'm going to predict Dungannon just to edge it. Dungannon to beat omagh by around 9 or 10.

Edendork vs clonoe- both teams will be delighted with this draw what an opportunity for a semi final place for both. Was very impressed with clonoe yesterday. Edendork wasn't too sure about on Thursday, didn't show much promise. Was a poor quality game on a wet night so hard to judge them. For me clonoe might edge it but I could be very wrong, very tough to call. Clonoe by 2.

🏆 Intermediate & Junior Quarter-Final Championship Predictions

FRIDAY

Fintona v Drumragh — This has upset written all over it. Fintona come in as one of the favourites for the whole thing, while Drumragh are massive underdogs with absolutely nothing to lose. All the pressure is on Fintona, and I can see them slipping up when it matters most. Drumragh by 2.

Owen Roes v Cookstown — Game of the weekend for me. Two very evenly matched sides and this could go right down to the wire. McShane is obviously the massive danger for Owen Roes, but if Cookstown can somehow keep him quiet, I think the Town men take control and make it a much more comfortable night than people expect. Cookstown to win.

SATURDAY

Errigal Ciaran v Stewartstown — Errigal will have a proper crack at them and probably hang around for a while, but Stewartstown should eventually have too much quality. Errigal will give them a scare, but it won't be enough. Stewartstown by 5.

Greencastle v Rock — Don't expect this one to be getting replayed on TG4 Classics anytime soon. Could be a fairly boring, cagey affair with neither side wanting to take many risks. Rock to grind it out and get themselves into the semi-final. Rock by 3.

SUNDAY

Derrytresk v Castlederg — Another really interesting one. Castlederg will fancy their chances, but championship football is different gravy and I fancy the men from the Hill to find a way when it matters. They'll be booking themselves a place in the semi-final. Derrytresk by 4.

Naomh Eoghan v Aghyaran — After yesterday's game, I'm backing the Donegal men here. I wasn't overly impressed with Naomh Eoghan against Gortin, and I think Aghyaran have enough about them to punish them. Could be tight, but they'll get over the line. Aghyaran by 2.

Tattyreagh v Brocagh — Potentially the least competitive game of the weekend. Tattyreagh are massive dark horses for this championship and I don't think enough people are talking about them. Brocagh have a couple of dangerous forwards, but across the pitch I just can't see them living with the Tatts. Could be over long before the final whistle. Tattyreagh by 8.

Pomeroy v Derrylaughan — Pomeroy should be far too strong here. Derrylaughan will battle away, but once Pomeroy get going I can't see them being stopped. They'll pull clear in the second half and march into the semi-final. Pomeroy by 5.
