They would need to be back and win the championship with the money they are firing out left right and centre

Took myself up to Aghaloo yesterday as was down in Emyvale for diesel anyways. I'd say they wouldn't be far off if they can keep Niall Connolly in this type of form. Few outrageous scores and the muscles on the man. Biceps , triceps the works.

Some clubs have hit poor for at wrong time, can't seem to turn the tide. Thinking of Dungannon/Omagh/C'island in Div 1, Rock & Derrylaughan in Div 2, Glenelly in Div 3. Any clubs going to change management or coaching to save their seasons?

some idiots on here trying to ruin it for those of us who actually want to conversate about our club games. probably some cub that is too rubbish to get a kick for kildress himself. not that it would be hard eiether

WT4E

Kildress going a lot better now - Big game away to Aghyaran this week with the form line suggesting a close one. Aghyaran went to Rock and won at the weekend whilst Kildress made light work of them albeit at home. If Kildress can go to a hard place and win could kick them on but a defeat puts them right back in the shit.

The collapse against Kileeshil earlier in the season could be significant result - 9 points up and lost by 4 - could haunt us that performance!

Thats just football i suppose, very hard to maintain top form all the way through a league campaign, unless your Naomh Eoghan apparently.

I think this has been a long time coming for Omagh and I dont think they would get out of D2 anytime soon if they do drop.
I remember seeing a post on here a while back questioning Dungannons ability to retain their D1 status, if they drop I think they would bounce straight back up with a lot of silverware, Ulster or an AI.
As for Coalisland you never really know what way theyll go year to year.

Id say Derrylaughan and The Rock will be surprised at their situations but D2 relegation is almost nailed on Aghaloo, Kildress and Killeeshil?

Glenelly always seem to make a push but they are the nearly men of D3.

it would be hard for three teams to get relegated when only two can. as wt4e said, the kileeshil result could come back to haunt them. if kildress dont get out of the bottom three i would fully expect them to thump kileeshil in a playoff game as they seemed to be missing key players at that stage of the league.

as for derrylaughan an the rock. both team have been poor for a few years now. derrylaughan a one man show and the rock are too injury prone and have alot of overweight players (even in their spine)

What way is the relegation/promotion working this year?

Just Checked:

In Division 2 the bottom placed team teams (excluding the 2027 Intermediate
Championship winners) will be relegated to Division 3 for 2027.
A playoff will take place between teams finishing second from bottom and third from
bottom (excluding the 2026 Intermediate Championship winners), with the third from
bottom team playing at home.
The winners of that match will play in Division 2, while the losers will play in Division 3 in
2027.

This then means no playoff for Div 3 team on the way up?

Yeah just league and championship winners. Then if a team completes a double it is second in the league I think.

Correct - same as last year

I think Omagh would come back up. The best 16 teams in Tyrone are playing in D1 this year for me. When it came down to it in playoffs last year Coalisland defeated both Moy and Pomeroy although the Pomeroy game went to the wire. I don't think anyone outside of Pomeroy could be looking at anyone in Division 1 and thinking naw we're better than them.

Where as last year maybe a Clonoe/Eglish/Coalisland was looking at Gortin and Derrylaughan saying how are they in D1 and we're not, I don't think that's the case in 2026. That Division 1/2 playoff being gone is an interesting move, not sure of the reasoning behind that but its harsh on the D2 teams, the likes of Cookstown or Owen Roes maybe going to have a great season and finish 3rd or 4th and no play offs to look forward to, it'll just be win the championship or bust

Dungannon v Moortown on Monday night and Coalisland v Omagh on Friday are going to have a big say come the end you'd think
What is going on with Dungannon? They have been comfortably third best team in Tyrone over the past 6 years - just behind Trillick and Errigal but ahead of the rest of the pack.
Heard last night at our match that they aren't looking to play for slater whatever is going on there. Always had him for a good manager.

Also heard they were 8 up with 10 to go if there's any truth in that.
I ventured over from Armagh for this match funny enough. Firstly, I think i was expecting a higher standard, Im used to Armagh senior league club football generally being poor quality & we probably run ourselves down too much having watched this. This game was poor quality, it ended up being exciting as Dungannon managed to blow a good lead and there were digs flying everywhere the last 10. I believe Eglish were missing 5 or 6 starters, DG near enough a full deck. Ethan Jordan & Turlough Muldoon the 2 stand outs for me, I wouldn't have knew too many more tbh. The DG N14 was causing all sorts of issues in the 2nd half, but not used enough, Donaghy scored heavily but gives lazy sod vibes.

Dungannon ones giving the ref plenty of stick after the game, but as a neutral I didn't think he was in anyway to blame for their loss. Eglish keeper was acting the maggot on kickouts and should have got a card or dealt with by DG.

Edit: Eglish corner forward pretty good as well.

I think that's right. No play offs in Div Two or three to go up. Howver div 3A has a 4 team play off.

I think the lack of play offs and jeopardy will take the great edge that Tyrone football has away.

Winthebreak

Dungannon will surely be targeting a win vs Moortown tonight to really tighten the bottom of Div 1 even further.

GlenMan

Surely it's crisis time for Dungannon now - hammered by Moortown!
