Quote from: 2ndstringsub on June 29, 2026, 10:09:23 AMWith the league due to take a break anyway do we think we will see our county stars fielding for the club or will they enjoy a longer break than their clubmates and come back in a fortnights time for league games coming thick and fast?

Who do you see getting the biggest bounce from their county men?
Pomeroy and trillick. Pomeroy probably won't lose another intermediate game with mcgeary coming back. Trillick seem to be struggling badly, will have all eyes on getting ready for the Oneill cup now.

Coalisland proved 2 years ago that the county men could not help them stay up. Could be the same story this time around.

I don't know that McGeary will be enough, I saw them against Clogher and definitely wasn't impressed. they are in no danger which they'll probably be happy enough with but I don't see them making any challenge for League or Championship.

Coalisland Definitely in trouble and with the form of their main county man its very difficult to see him dragging them with him. McHugh will be interesting to see, I wasn't overly impressed with him during his schools football but the better part of a years county training is bound to bring with it improvement for the club.

i find it hard to look past pomeroy for intermediate. i agree its one of the worse pomeroy teams that have been down in the last while. i would be backing pomeroy based on how poor everyone else is. naomh eoaghan surely wont keep this up.

as for mchugh, he is absolutley no use. will not change coalialnds fate at all

Think most players will be glad to get back to the club, especially the men that didnt get much football. Teams like edendork, errigal etc need them back asap so id say theyll all be playing on friday night.
Pomeroy/derrylaughan be the same im sure, cant see any taking an extended.

Can any of them head to the states now or is it too late?
Who are Errigal getting back though? Just Quinn?

Not sure who's fit and who's not. Petey harte going to play soccer with Beragh swifts wont help matters either

Going by TTM Facebook. Cookstown managed 0-9 from two new faces. (Connolly and Lennon)
No shortage of scorers in cookstown it seems. They could have their sights set on a championship run.

Nathan Connolly wouldn't be new

A mass exodus of lads away to the states apparently.

McGleenan, Rafferty and Ben Cullen heading to San Francisco along with Ben Hughes from D'More.

Cassidy Chicago bound also.

is right
wish I was 21 again...

Few CNG lads on there, won't help their ability to field (Hence they requested 13 aside)

If the Yanks are paying Brocagh players, they'd take literally anyone.
