Il Bomber Destro

McCarron and McNamee are examples of lads who spent a good lot of their formative years on the bench but have since managed to establish themselves and vital players for Tyrone, I believe McGeary and Hampsey are good enough but they will have to bide their time and keep the work up.

I think part of the reason Harte had a bit of a pop at McGuigan, Lavery, Coney recently was to lay down a marker to the new recruits that they will have to be willing to be patient and bide their time if they're going to come on board. He's not interested in players who chuck in the towel after giving it a crack for a few months.

Hampsey is just out of u21 and he's arguably trying to break into the strongest and most settled line in our team, he's going to need patience and be ready to take his chance when it comes.

With Tyrone "Expected" to get to the NFL Division 2 Final (Sunday 24th April) has anyone else heard "Rumours" that the Club Fixtures aren't going to start until the following week. May 1st?????????????

Heard no rumours but Tyrone definitely in the Div 2 final now.

I'd say Rnd 1 on 10th April, Rnd 2 on 17th April might be called off to suit the seniors and potentially the U21s, starred fixture on 24th, U21s on 1st May if they get there along with round 3, La Na gClub on 8th May so perhaps a pile of derby games on the Saturday..

You got to feel sorry for the fixture makers!

this is a farce. Yes three all-irelands but at what cost

Looks like pushed back to May.

This been confirmed, or just a rumour?

TF15

So that's roughly 4 months pre season for teams before the start of the league. The training to games ratio in the GAA is laughable for club players. Is winning the Division 2 final that important? Promotion is the only real important thing, don't see why preparation has to be like we're going for the Division 1 title.

Redhand Santa

Would be surprised if this was true and would make no sense. Tyrone have played every week in the league and got on fine so not sure what harm 2 club games would do in the run up to the final. The only issue would be if the u21s happened to get to the semi final which would lead to things being messy. But at this stage that's far from probable. Hopefully just a rumour or the club season will never get played. I suspect it is a rumour cause if that's the case there'd only be one to two rounds max played before the Derry game.

Coming up to 3 weeks to start of league - no sign of fixtures, surely should be out this week?

Just a rumour. Talk that its all backlogged due to arrangement of starred games. Also talk that the fixture planners are not too happy with the way the vote went for the timing of the championship.

Can't see any reason why it wouldn't go ahead on the 10th of April.

Norf Tyrone

All senior and reserve sides have been asked to meet up in Garvaghey at 1pm on Sunday 10th.

All teams will then talk among themselves to decide fixtures fire the opening Sunday.

I'm trying to decide on a really meaningful message..
