The silence is deafening here from the kool aid drinkers...
This fraud is an absolute f**king joke and was never going to be
anything else yet numbers like these can come out month after month
Quarter after quarter and not a peep,
well, except to blame Bush  ::) yawn.
Like the bumper sticker says..
"Are we any better off than we were 4 trillion dollars ago"
And no sign of recovery or an end to this ridiculous spending.

I don't remember you whinging when Bush ran up a debt greater than the total of ALL of his predecessors ADDED TOGETHER.

Unemployment was no where near 9.2% with his war debt, wars
that we're still in by the way...not only that but have added to  :-X
and what's your take on the fact that Obama is on target to dwarf
all that came before him INCLUDING Bush and look at the state
of the economy...we're losing our credit rating and even talking about
defaulting unless we raise the debt ceiling ::) But hey, we can spend our
way out of this...right  >:(

Yes Obama has added to it. The Paulson bailout committed him to some of that, the wars that Bush started added to it too and yes some of it was his own doing. Clinton had balanced the books so Bush started with a clean slate. He didn't return the favour.

The credit rating is under threat as the Republicans gamble the world economy on the debt ceiling vote just as they did with Paulson's bailout. Even the French & Germans haven't done anything quite that stupid.

Part of me hopes the Republicans trigger the default that the markets daren't even consider. Armageddon, contagion etc aren't big enough words for what would follow. Or the Republicans will probably bottle it and  vote it in the second time and go out with a whimper, again.

Same as that...this shit has to stop, 14.3 trillion clearly isn't enough
debt for these idiots, gives credence actually to the theorists out there
who think this is intentional...Cloward and Piven anyone?

Beck strikes again:

http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2011/jul/26/glenn-beck-norwegian-dead-hitler

Glenn Beck, the rightwing US broadcaster and Tea Party favourite, has compared those who were massacred on the Norwegian island of Utøya to the Nazi party's youth wing.

"There was a shooting at a political camp, which sounds a little like the Hitler youth, or, whatever. I mean, who does a camp for kids that's all about politics. Disturbing," said Beck on his syndicated radio show.

The comments were condemned by Torbjørn Eriksen, a former press secretary to Jens Stoltenberg, Norway's prime minister.

Eriksen described the comment as "a new low" for Beck, telling the Daily Telegraph: "Young political activists have gathered at Utøya for over 60 years to learn about and be part of democracy, the very opposite of what the Hitler Youth was about. Glenn Beck's comments are ignorant, incorrect and extremely hurtful."

Sagging ratings, a string of damaging remarks and an exodus of advertisers combined earlier this year to end Beck's tenure on the US cable network Fox News.

A campaign to pressure advertisers to boycott the pundit's daily slot had been gathering pace, while Beck was embroiled in battles erupting from his frequently aired conspiracy theories involving individuals ranging from the financier George Soros to Barack Obama.

His denunciation of Soros included reference to his wartime childhood in Hungary. In remarks that were decried as "monstrous" by Jewish groups, the broadcaster claimed: "Here's a Jewish boy helping send the Jews to the death camps."

However, his latest comments about the "disturbing" nature of political youth camps may come as a surprise to Beck's followers in the Tea Party movement.

The anti-tax, anti-immigration movement has been holding summer camps in states including Florida and Missouri where children have been taught a curriculum based on God, the US constitution and "the defence of economic liberty".
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity

Yet another example of the media drinking the cool-aid ....unbelievable

Obama's father served in WW II, really?
Of all the things I've seen or heard about Obama on the internet, NONE has hit me like this!! How can we not believe some of the charges about
citizenship, religion, etc., after hearing what he says on this?
Obama said his father served in WW II? Barack's father served in WW II?
He said so in a speech.. Here is an 18 second video:

CNN News clip:     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fv4jnlkxOaw

Is he a compulsive liar? Were there no reporters who checked or double checked these statements and called the party on this? They did for everyone else.
       Why not him?
Like it or not, here are the facts:
Barack Hussein Obama Sr. (Obama's father) Born: 4/4/36 Died: 11/24/82 at the age of 46. He was 5 years old when WW II started, and less than 9 1/2
        yrs  old when it  ended.

Lolo Soetoro (Obama's step father) Born: January 2,1935 Died: 3/2/87 at the age of 52.
He was 6 years old when WW II started, and 10 years old when it ended. He must have been the youngest Veteran in the war.
And the media doesn't say anything. If you doubt it, Google both of these guys.

It appears this guy doesn't know how to tell the truth -- or he doesn't care about telling the truth! -- or perhaps he doesn't know when he isn't telling the
truth (which is also a very scary angle). Talk about STOLEN HONOR!!!
Had this been Bush, the Media would still be on this!   ::)

The CNN clip of Obama is surprising. I guess I shouldn't be surprised that this lie wasn't uncovered, questioned or debated before the Nov. 2008 election.
Oh well, He must have just "forgotten" the facts, again. Or perhaps he really doesn't even know the difference between truth and fabrication?

Mike Sheehy

you should be more concerned about tea party politicians that have hijacked the republican party and are, basically, terrorizing any republican that has anything resembling moderate views.  Nothing will get solved without compromize. There has been enough political grandstanding.

Tyrones own

They were voted in to office in Nov on the strength of stopping the runaway ridiculous
spending, they're simply being held to their promises.
Lets be under no illusion... the grandstanding we're witnessing is nothing more than the Democrats
or more importantly Obummer searching for an angle to shake the blame for the result when the shite ultimately
hits the fan in failure, much like the rest of his presidency  ::)

Tyrone's Own: I'm positive Obama mis-spoke there. He probably meant his grandfather who raised him. The grandfather was part of Patton's army that marched across Europe. Not that it will make any difference to you...

When it comes to the faces in US politics I am starting to feel that this face:

is the most important but mostly unseen face for the last 30 years.

Little over a year ago I'd never heard of her and now I see her influence in the philosophy of a lot of politicians on both sides of the house but mostly on the right, which is unusual because her being an atheist and most conservatives like to boast about their Christian credentials.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America 's debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the US Government can not pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government's reckless fiscal policies. Increasing America 's debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that 'the buck stops here.' Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better."

-- Senator Barack H. Obama, March  2006

Obama the candidate or Obama the President. Who would you vote for?

A politician making a political statement/vote. He's had to admit as much himself.
