BREAKING NEWS: A corrupt Republican lawmaker has just been EXPELLED from the Arizona State Legislature over ethics violations, including some relating to election misinformation.

According to Democracy Docket, the Arizona House now has 29 Democrats and 30 Republicans.

Unlike the recent attempts to remove two Black members of the Tennessee State Legislature, the resolution to expel GOP Rep. Liz Harris received BIPARTISAN support!
As Trump was prone to utter, that was a   "bipartiss solucius"

noteworthy -- "The  (Arizona)  House's vote last Thursday to remove Pearson and Rep. Justin Jones but keep white Rep. Gloria Johnson drew accusations of racism. Johnson survived by one vote. The Republican leadership denied that race was a factor."  ::)

So your point, as far as I can tell from that word salad, is that she affects an accent now and again?

Is that it?

That's the AOC outrage the right are dragging up again? ;D

That's the only response you have to the major own goal the Tennesse GOP scored or the AZ rep being booted by her colleagues of both parties for ethics violations?

Tennessee insurrectionists? Jail?

How does that work?;D

Given all your apparent concern about "fakery", how does that apply to the wider GOP relationship with Trump?

Most of them are scathing of him in private, but deathly afraid to say anything in public lest they fall foul of the orange god-king and suffer the fate of Liz Cheney or get yelled at in the airport like Lindsey Graham was after Jan 6 when he had the audacity to offer a mild condemnation of Trump's recklessness and incitement.

How about your latest hero, De Santis, who you're supposedly all in on?

He's the right hard lad when it comes to easy targets like asylum seekers or gay and trans people or young students wearing masks or a progressive DA, but a cowardly mouse who is afraid to go toe to toe with Trump to win a nomination that is (or at least was) there for the taking. It's not like Trump isn't throwing loads of abuse towards him. Where does he rate on your authenticity metre?

We could throw in the Fox News ghouls like Tucker who were trash talking Trump in private conversations but are now back to providing platforms for his insane ramblings and love letters to Xi, Kim and Putin? How about them?

That's all you pick out?

Ok, Joe is a gaffe machine. He's slowing down with age, but he has made gaffes his entire political life.

Trump, on the other hand, is a self-serving proven liar who gushes admiringly and earnestly about the "total control" violent despots have over their countries and wants to fraudulently bypass or ride roughshod over the democratic processes in his own country to serve his own personal purposes.

There is no comparison.

listen I pick the lesser of 2 evils and for me that's a conservative candidate down any ticket
I have life experience of what one party politics looks like in California and in my opinion the standard and quality of living has dropped significantly since I came here , I need look no further than the once beautiful city of San Francisco and look what the policies implemented by countless democrat politicians have done to it and it's full of homeless, drug addicted people, minorities are priced out of the housing market and crime is rampant, the policies of one party democrat rule ruin's people, communities, cities and the country if allowed.

First, I agree with you on single-party domination. Whether that's Dems or the GOP. It seldom ends well as extremism gets more of a chance at implementation. Its why I despise gerrymandering and am glad that certain states like NY and CA have taken steps to combat it. The NY laws cost the Dems the House this year, but I can live with that. If only the likes of Florida and Wisconsin would follow and fairly represent their people. And its why I voted for someone like Eric Adams for NY mayor when there were plenty more progressive candidates to choose from.

Unfortunately, at the moment, the extremists rule the GOP on a national level. There are exceptions such as certain moderate governors, but on the whole the GOP is little more than a conspiracy-minded personality cult at the moment with little in the way of a platform beyond fighting either made-up or hyped-up culture war targets. The good thing is that it is currently costing them, the effects of gerrymandering notwithstanding. And it will most likely cost them again if they run Trump next year.

Biden gets a good welcome over here. Trump couldn't even come out of his resort due to the protests and booing he get. Sorta says who Ireland prefer.

Eamonnca1

Meet 2022 REPUBLICAN candidate Joel M. Koskan of North Dakota.

He was just sentenced to 10 YEARS in prison after he plead guilty to 2 counts of Felony Incest with his then 13-year-old stepdaughter.

Koskan was NOT a Drag Queen
Koskan was not transgender
Koskan was not a 'Democrat Groomer'
Koskan was not a Biden supporter

Koskan is simply a straight, white, Republican who is a disgusting pedophile.

Ireland has been historically dominated by two fairly centrist parties. The Dems would not be too out of line with mainstream Irish politics. Outside of the DUP, is there anything even remotely comparable to the current Republican Party on the island of Ireland?
