FFS I'm not on board with anything remotely close to 100% of the "most extreme positions of the Democratic Party".

Yet I don't ever recall being labeled a bigot or racist.

Perhaps because I'm not glued to Fox News or listening to the late Rush Limbaugh and his continuing impersonators hype and exaggerate and fearmonger about every outlandish tweet and every cartoonish caricature of liberals that they can think up.

And at least in the Democratic Party they ARE the lunatic fringe. Last I checked, we elected a moderate president despite the choice of a socialist. Here in NYC we went with a former police captain (and former Republican) for mayor over several fairly lefty progressives.

In the Republican Party and the conservative movement in general, the lunatics, led by Trump, are the mainstream centre of the party.

Ok. And?

Biden himself has said this kind of stuff. It's partly why he was elected. Same with Adams in NYC.

Come back to me when the GOP dumps Trump and the election fraud fraud and the white grievance shit and resumes being a normal right wing party.

Yeah, that will be a rip roaring success for him.
Is he going to turn over documents and records to the defenses, assuming it even goes that far?
Will he dare to be deposed or cross examined?
This is not Trump's usual legal scenario where he uses his money to outlast and beat small contractors he's trying to avoid paying for work done.

No surprise that Trump's lawsuit against Clinton is based on a conspiracy.
Surely this is a case for Sid.

Speaking of the bould Sidney, anyone catch the Bob Woodward story on Justice Clarence Thomas's wife pushing then WH Chief of Staff Mark Meadows, via text exchanges, to plough full steam ahead in getting Sidney to be appointed to lead the official legal team to "unleash the Kraken"?

Strangely enough, perhaps, her husband was the only dissenting vote on the Supreme Court ruling which told Trump he couldn't block the National Archives from releasing WH records to the January 6th committee. Which is where the records of the text messages, which also show her embracing some other crazy Q Anon shit, came from.

Not the first time either that questions have been raised about her connection to cases coming in front of the court.

If what's reported is true, it raises very serious questions and merits formal investigation.

Regarding his ruling on that particular case, while shocking on face value, according to a conservative guest on MSNBC today, that ruling is directly in line with how he has ruled in similar cases in the past

I just have an image of the Kraken unleashed, riding in on the ghost of Hugo Chavez.

Bad couple of days for joe first he said us troops would be in Ukraine
Then food shortages were on the way
Today Putin can't remain in power
All walked back by white house staff , like I've said 100 times joe should be retired and at home permanently not trying to start ww3.

100 per cent agree. Next president should be under age of 60.

Well to say Kuwait and Afghanistan were "started" by the United States is questionable to say the least

Iraq-that's a different kettle of fish and Based on what happened there, I think we will find it increasingly hard to recruit the required numbers  going forward

Whether you like Joe or Mike Pense, both of them had sons who were deployed as did Hillary's VP, Tim Kaine.

Garry Kasparov rows solidly  behind President Biden's speech

After the White House backpedalled on comments by president Joe Biden that appeared to call for regime change in Russia, prominent Putin critic and chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov has called the US administration "pathetic".

When a regime is repressive, murderous, dictatorial, and led by someone who has committed war crimes in multiple countries, including his own, what else should be hoped for and worked toward than regime change?" he wrote in the first of a series of tweets.

"When the President is right, the White House should stick with him instead of fumbling to apologize to a murderous dictator for speaking the truth. It's pathetic," he continued.

"Biden isn't Trump, requiring an English to English translator! No dictator is legitimate. Don't backpedal when you are right and in the right. Don't play diplomatic games with a mass murderer."
