Sure the poor crayturs were provoked into trying to open doors mid-flight and to assault airline staff, including women. No reason why they should be barred from future flights.

Reminds me of that county judge in the movie Mississippi Burning, in terms of logic:

But I want you to know that the court understands... that the crimes you have committed have been, to some extent at least... brought about by... outside influences.

Outsiders have come into Jessup County... and they've been people of low morality... and unhygienic.

And their presence here has provoked a lot of people.

So the court understands... without condoning them, mind you... that the crimes to which you men have pled guilty... were, to some extent at least, provoked by these outside influences.

So, with all this, I'm gonna make your punishment light.

I'm gonna sentence you each to five years' imprisonment.

But I'm gonna suspend these sentences.

Well of course it could have been Trump who thinks Putin's move is "genius"

How would that have gone??!! Trump would have done nothing.

So what SHOULD he be doing with respect to the Ukraine Gmac?

What moves would you find satisfactory?

I'm assuming you mean a more severe response, and not the "I like the taste of Putin's dick" nonsense Trump put out?

Putin was emboldened by owning Trump and now owning Johnson. He indirectly pushed hard for brexit to divide the powerful EU. This was a long term strategy and Trumps impotence gave him all the impetus he needed.

This incident showed how Putin completely owned trump.

All the USA security services knew putin and russia to be responsible yet trump refused to condemn. We all knew at that stage that Putin could do what he liked without any kind of criticism from trump. It's great to see a serious president in charge now who takes proper sanctions against an autocratic dictator.

burdizzo

Ha ha, "a serious president" - you crack me up!
By the way, if Navalny was in the Kremlin, you'd be crying about him, too.

while still importing anywhere from 12/25 million barrels of oil from Russia per month and closing down pipelines and exploration in his own country, it's not joe so much as the clown show around him .

So tell us Gmac.

If your hero Trump was still in charge (or any Republican for that matter), what would be different about any of those issues you've listed?

trump was happy to let what happened outside of America happen and wasn't going to intervene unless it had consequences or there were threats to  the US , he didn't want to get US soldiers killed in anymore foreign conflicts which he pretty much managed to do , Joe announced the US is back on the world stage and the results are there to be viewed .Trump didn't want to pay nato to protect Europe from Putin while they got 40% gas and 27% oil from Russia , only mugs would want to do that .
Has admiral vindman gone back to Ukraine to defend the homeland he so passionately talked about I wonder 🤔

whitey

Putin would never have tried this if Trump was in power

Obama has a lot of the blame here too-remember the quip about the "80's calling and asking about getting their foreign policy back" when Romney tried to warn him about Putin

And as for all of the bellyaching about Trump holding up aid to the Ukrainians, the Obama administration flat out REFUSED to provide them with the same aid

J70

LOL whitey.

Why the hell would Putin not try this with Trump in power?

The same Trump who never missed ANY opportunity to suck up to him and defer to him, even at the expense of publicly selling out his own appointees and intelligence agencies?

And with Trump and the right wing media cheering him on from the sidelines as we speak.
