Listening to the Radio this morn and Mick Mulveany (proper dose) but he reckons the next 4 years of Trump's life won't be worth living with law suits and congressional enquiries. It's something that'll go on and on and on.

Agree that there's very little time to get rid of him and it's really just about making his last 20 or days a living nightmare.

What's the saying, there's no bad publicity? He'll be fine, he's managed all these years to get away with things and being an ex president I can only see him making more money..

Film deals, book deals, all sorts of attention, he may move to an island but he won't disappear, he's had nearly 80 million people voting for him, he'll milk that for as long as he can

Dunno, Trump is pretty Toxic atm. Interesting to see the resignations now as well.... with only weeks to go.

We know 1 MAGA intruder was shot dead by Capitol police, 1 policeman was murdered during the insurrection. What happened the other 3 who died?

They died of other issues? 2 women and a man.. problem had a heart attack or fell of the wall they were climbing

I read that one of the women was crushed in the crowd, the man had a heart attack and the other woman a stroke.

Regardless, five people, including a cop, now dead. All in service of Trump's fragile, immoral ego.

He stabbed his supporters in the back with his comment last night. However, the press are making it sound like he was being forced to do it.

The guy cannot be trusted, it is always someone else's fault and the lawsuits that are incoming will see through his BS.

Of course he was forced to do it. People are calling left, right and centre for 25th amendment removal or impeachment. Plus whatever may come later. He has no choice if there's a rational bone left in his body.

And he still didn't concede that he'd lost.

James Buchanan must be a happy man in his grave. His days as the worst ever president are coming to an end.

They're Nazi rats trying to save themselves, that's all

They had more than ample opportunity to repudiate the regime and the party and they didn't, they went along willingly with the lot of it

f**k them

And they'll be back quicksmart like the rats they are when the heat blows over

145 of the 263 Republicans in Congress voted to reject democracy and embrace fascism

The party needs to be disbanded and treated as a complete pariah

Jeez the rats are jumping off the ship now

Fox News have to take some blame for this attempted Intifada but now they are trying to wash their dirty hands.

Will lawsuits come from the victims families of those who died? Can it be shown that Trump encouraged this and in so incited a riot that resulted in death?

Apparently Pence was a little upset with Trump.

https://tulsaworld.com/news/state-and-regional/govt-and-politics/inhofe-ive-never-seen-mike-pence-as-angry-as-he-was-today/article_439af4ae-5082-11eb-96b1-53cf9e218598.html?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=user-share

"I've known Mike Pence forever," Inhofe said Wednesday night. "I've never seen Pence as angry as he was today.

"I had a long conversation with him," said Inhofe. "He said, 'After all the things I've done for (Trump).'"

Pence is right about all the things he's done for Trump. He has literally and very publicly debased and humiliated himself again and again over the past four years in the service of Trump.

And now he's belatedly finding out, as so many others have, that the loyalty goes only one way.

As soon as Pence reached his breaking point i.e. he couldn't conjure up some imaginary constitutional justification to throw out certified state votes, Trump threw him to the wolves, who actually came in the form of the invading mob who were literally searching the Capitol building for him.

Pence must have had serious concerns, he must have been very troubled

Senator Ben Speinlisch-Flake's statement that he is deeply troubled is being hailed as true leadership

For American's that must be such a hard watch. Certainly since the 20th century they've seen themselves as the global light of Democracy and Freedom. Both on the left and the right. It's so far away from even what was conservative republicanism. The GOP will surely undergo a massive sole searching exercise. Who could lead that? Romney? Surely someone comes out of the pack. One thing is for sure the GOP have to unhook from the Trump wagon.

If Trump were an anomaly, that might be easy enough to do.

But the GOP base CHOSE Trump from among what, 15 or 16 candidates. He was the culmination, the logical conclusion, of decades of GOP rhetoric and policy. They groomed their base to want him.

Then the party morphed into the Trump Personality Cult. They literally had NO policy platform this election beyond loyalty to the orange slug.
