Surely the old guard in the GOP will be (behind closed doors) happy that Trump Has lost this? Reshuffle and put in place an actual politician?

A lot of people were voting against the Democrats not necessarily voting for Trump

They're f**king either deluded or need to take a good long look at themselves then.

This wasn't Bernie the socialist. This is a choice of a run-of-the-mill, centrist, don't-rock-the-boat moderate or a far right, bigoted, irrational, incompetent, narcissistic, sociopathic, lying man-child who cares primarily about himself and is so lacking in basic human decency that he would oversee a policy of tearing tiny kids out of their desperate parents arms to be shipped all around the country, not knowing when they'd be reunited.

Well don't take my word for it

(LOL-and of course the WaPo has come out with a rebuttal)

So not voting for Tump just voting for the shite the Trump machine pumps out

Trump was advertising a press conference by his democracy-denying cronies at the Four Seasons Total Landscaping centre in Philadelphia set for 4:30

The race was called at 4:29

Timing

Next door to the Four Seasons Total landscaping is a business called "Fantasy Island"

You can get all your gardening needs at Four Seasons Total Landscaping, such as spades, to dig holes

Trump already has all his holes dug, and they are very deep

Van Jones's reaction to the election call was visceral

Trump's presidency has done an immense amount of harm to so many people

This feels like a great release

I take it this still hasn't happened

Your basis for that is?

This does appear to be the case in quite a number of places. The vote didn't carry down the ballot. They'll be disappointed with their performance in the Senate races and have lost seats in the House.

Would be amazing to see a 2024 election where the Democrat vote was split by Kanye and a centrist Democrat

That would be amazing.
Amazing as in unbelievable.
Unbelievable as in not likely to happen.
Likely as in going

Not much social distancing in Washington DC  :o

No.

Masks are mitigant, not an excuse.

At least Biden didn't call them out on to the streets. Other politicians deal in that shite. President Biden rises above that sort of thing

And none at any of those rallies!!

Highest spikes ever in the US! Crazy people

They were also completely wrong. But its not justification for the current scenes.

Correct but the role of Biden and Trump are polar opposites in the issue. Trump was a liability to the nation

At least they're wearing masks and it's outdoors, but yeah, not the wisest at the moment, especially the one in LaFayette Park.

It is hard not to smile though at the thought of the Trumps and their lackies sitting inside having to listen and look at them though! :)
only Trump rallies spread Covid , blm protests and mass looting don't . Enjoy

Has anyone here condoned it?

At least they're considerate and concerned enough to wear the masks, unlike the Trump rallies.
can trump still fire fauci ?

If he hates America and Americans he could probably do it

Whitey's point was that votes for Trump were not necessarily votes for Trump but against the Democrats. That is the presidential election

Oh it happened!

Apparently the corrupt Dems managed to stuff 600K fake ballots into the picture in PA! ;D

Rudy will prove it in court next week, beginning Monday.

What's striking is the youth of the celebration and the huge spontaneous outburst.
It´s not for Joe Biden , though he played his part, it's for the defeat of Trump. And we see what mattered most  was content not policy.  For years from the  WSJ  ( White Supremacy Journal)  downwards , whilst ignoring the effect of the rise in inequality, we heard about how the government's  economic policy  was benefitting  growth/ wall street/business/ shares etc  and the president's  content was put down to -   well he's not a politician,  that just donald, he doesn't really mean it, In other words that racist/hate stuff did not matter  because policy was beneficial.
Now we see the effect of just how much that racist content mattered, the hatred, the narcissism, the callous support of the impact of white thugs with guns, a complete disdain for the  historical experience  of Black Africans and others  in the US and  just how all that  hate content  affected all people of colour. and others in solidarity..

can trump still fire fauci ?

He's not a political appointee, so I don't see how he could, absent some misconduct or incompetence charge, in which Fauci would be entitled to usual protections.

What would be the point anyway?

Trump can either act like a normal mature human being and help the transition, or he can further cement his historical reputation as a petulant, insecure narcissist by flailing around and throwing his toys out of the pram.
do you think Democrats helped with the transition of power ?

Did Obama not invite Trump over the next day?

Do you have any evidence that they DIDN'T provide the standard cooperation and assistance to Trump's team?

From what I recall, much of Trump's team was hopelessly unorganized and uninterested in working on the transition.

Whereas Obama's team were very grateful to GW Bush for his cooperation in 2008.

It's rather sad and pitiful watching Giuliani now when you think of 9/11 and his work prosecuting the mafia.
