Poor widdle Donald doesn't want to do the next debate because it is going to be virtual.

Its just not fair. How can he rant and rave and interrupt when the moderator has a mute button?! ;D

Hound

I watched the vice presidential debate (all but the last few minutes). Regardless of whether you believe in their political views, it was clear to me that they are both far more impressive candidates than their running mates.

I'm not sure the man is well. The recovered from Covid is likely bogus. The virtual debate is a handy out. Wouldn't wish Covid breathing difficulties on anyone but you'd worry where he will be in a week or two.

Its amazing what can happen when one of the debaters is not a deranged troll derailing the entire discussion.

Personally I think Gmac is doing a great job given we don't have the Donald himself as a forum member

Quote
"If Dr. Fauci and doctors say to take the vaccine, I'll be the first in line.

If president Trump says to take a vaccine, I will not do it."

;D
will she be responsible for millions of her whacked out supporters dying for not taking a vaccine ?

Fooling nobody there Gmac.

Harris' position is eminently sensible. Get a vaccine through the appropriate approvals and then get everyone behind it. Completely sensible. It would be good to get some Republicans to come out and say the same - ie when we get a properly approved vaccine the other side of the election the Republican will give it their full throated endorsement irrespective of the election results. Only a coward would duck that one

do you think a pharmaceutical company is going to release a vaccine without it being properly approved by all the right authorities ? How many billions in lawsuits would they open themselves up too if it's not properly vetted by such authorities. It's all trump derangement syndrome,  even a vaccine that could help millions of people is subject to it as are any companies trying to develop it.
The Democrats policy is burn it all down to oust trump and don't worry about any collateral damage .

No I don't think a vaccine will be produced by a credible pharma company without the approvals. And as long as Donald isn't going anywhere else for a fast tracked vaccine this won't be an issue.

No Democrat is talking about getting a vaccine out there without all the appropriate approvals

Bullshit. Trump has made it clear he is perfectly willing to have his political appointees overrule the professionals in the agencies or go public himself to pressure them for his own benefit. If the FDA or CDC approves something, that gives cover to the particular company.

Its laughable that you'd cry foul over the Democrats trying to keep the interest of the American people above those of Trump's political fortunes.

will a vaccine be available by nov 3 ? No so it does nothing for trump politically so why would he push it after the election if there are problems with it , think outside the box

In the debate last week he said it was only a matter of weeks away. The head of Pfizer had to come out and deny that they were being politically pressured.

Just this week, the White House is holding up guidance the FDA is trying to issue regarding tracking trial participants for two months for health effects. The CDC, also this week, reinstated guidance on the spread of COVID via aerosols that the White House vetoed two weeks ago.

Whether you want to acknowledge it or not, Trump doesn't give two fucks about the vaccine or COVID beyond protecting/benefiting his own arse.

Today in America Deals with Far Right Fascism, the FBI has thwarted a plot by armed right wing terrorists to kidnap Michigan's Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer. Six conservative extremists have been charged.

"Members of a militia group purchased weapons, conducted surveillance, and held training and planning meetings, but were foiled in part because the FBI was able to infiltrate the group with informants, according to a criminal complaint.

The FBI became aware early in 2020, through social media, that a militia group was "discussing the violent overthrow of certain government and law enforcement components," and "agreed to take violent action," according to a sworn affidavit."

If it is, its only because Trump allowed it to be.

This was a great opportunity for him to show leadership and competence and empathy.

Most of the "great" presidents forged their reputations in times of adversity by doing just that. Trump failed miserably and squandered a great opportunity.

Rather than whining about Jane Fonda and the left, you should focus your ire where its due.

up to a dozen talked about committing crimes while  in the real world thousands of Democrat voters are rioting and looting almost nightly   around the country .
