I'm all for the Russia probe.....let Mueller also look at Russian funding of the Clinton Foundation.

After all he's investigating Russian interference in the election, not just Trumps ties to Russia

I would also be very interested in the warrants that led to the wiretapping of the Trump campaign and transition team. If the now discredited Fusion GPS Memo is even referenced in the warrant all he'll is going to break loose.

Discredited by who? Fusion GPS are calling for Congress to release ALL of the transcripts from their testimony, not just the favourable-to-Trump drips.

Believe what you want

Why are GPS Fusio resisting the financial disclosures if there's nothing to hide?

https://www.google.com/amp/thehill.com/homenews/house/367525-judge-allows-house-intel-panel-to-subpoena-fusion-gpss-financial-records%3famp

I have no real opinion either way. You are the one making definitive comments. I'm merely linking to their piece this week in the Times where they claim the leaks from Congress do not reflect the record of what took place during their testimony. Why not publish it all as they suggest? And in addition to looking into the Fusion financials, why would Congress not look into the financial details of Trump and his connections as they suggested instead of ignoring them?

Let's get it all out

From my standpoint this has all the marks of a Clinton dirty trick...leak false opposition research to the DOJ and FBI in an effort to discredit an opponent (who was already doing a spectacular job doing that himself). Trump should be fvcked out in his head, but let's get it all out there. Let's find out who, if anyone in the FBI and DOJ were working the the Clinton campaign and fvck them in jail too.

Agreed. Let the chips fall where they may.

Let's hope the GOP allow an honest investigation.

If they try and obstruct Mueller, I think it will end very badly for them

heganboy

Whitey,
Let's separate the issues, they are not related.

Clinton foundation, investigate away, not Mueller though separate investigation.

2 questions:
1 why the interests in the warrant?
2 fusion GPS is certainly not discredited- why do you say that?

Mueller is tasked with investigating Russian tampering in the 2016 election.  Would making payments to the Clinton Foundation to curry favor with an incoming administration not be a form of tampering? It would be in my book!

Put the shoe on the other foot......a Republican presidential campaign secretly funds dossier on Hillary which is the basis for the current Republican administration wiretapping both the Hillary campaign and transition team (assuming she won). If, and it's a big if, that's true then Watergate gets relegated to the hapenny place in my opinion.

If you believe the dossier is completely or mainly true that's up to you, but there's enough credible sources that debunk the main thrust of it

Even Comey testified under oath that it was nonsense

The case for fusion GPS not being discredited:

https://www.google.com/amp/s/mobile.nytimes.com/2018/01/02/opinion/republicans-investigation-fusion-gps.amp.html

Quote."Instead of focusing its efforts on Russian meddling in the presidential election, the committee is misusing its investigatory powers to punish and smear Fusion GPS for its role in examining ties between Mr. Trump and Russia," Boutrous said. "The committee is violating Fusion's First Amendment and due process rights and we intend to continue seeking to protect those rights."

Wolff added: "I will tell you the one description that everyone gave, everyone has in common. They all say, 'He is like a child,' and what they mean by that is he has a need for immediate gratification. It's all about him. He just has to be satisfied in the moment.

"They say he's a moron, an idiot. Actually, there's a competition to sort of get to the bottom line here of who this man is. Let's remember, this man does not read, does not listen, so he's like a pinball just shooting off the sides."

One for Syf from the ultra socialist Daily Telegraph

A cynic might say that when the last sane man bows to the Zeitgeist and succumbs to speculative mania, it marks the absolute top of the bull market.

GMO's Jeremy Grantham, the apostle of 'value investing', fears we are heading into one of the great asset bubbles of all time: a 50pc parabolic "near-term melt-up" on Wall Street, followed by an epic crash. If he is right, we face a wicked political denouement.

He sketches a chain of events that would in my view threaten the destruction of market liberalism, or what Marxists might call it the "final crisis of capitalism".

Then Trump calls Wolff  "a loser", he's still in the playground throwing stones.
The thing is, it's not just that he's like a child, he's more an oafish teenager called Biff.
He walks and talks like a Biff, he thinks and acts out like a Biff. He's a Biff for the ages.
What an imbecile!

Well they shouldn't be worried about releasing their financials if that's the case.

Trump obviously was stung by all of the talk about him having lost it

In an extraordinary and unprecedented public defence of his own mental stability, Donald Trump has issued a volley of tweets that seemed guaranteed to add fuel to a growing constitutional crisis.

Non sequitur.

Time will tell.

From what I've read and heard there's some likelihood that either the FBI or DOJ (or both) were involved in colluding with the Clinton campaign to smear Trump. FFS the spouse of a senior DOJ official worked for Fusion GPS and himself met with the Fusion guys both before and after the election (without disclosing the meetings).  Can you imagine if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Republicans who did this?
