Good for you......my cousin who was out protesting at JFK last weekend used that as an opportunity to blast Bloomberg.  She and all of her friends went absolutely ape shit when Bloomberg was allowed to speak at the DNC.....when he took the stage to denounce Trump!!!

Another progressive friend of mine posted a misleading Huff Po article to proclaim that John Kasich was "just as bad in not worse than Trump" and that he was probably going to sign some anti abortion bill....even though he had vetoed such a bill at least once in the past and had publicly d flared such bills went unconstitutional

I wish the Bloomberg wing of the GOP would get its act together and haul that party back towards the center. The lunatics have held sway for long enough. The word "conservative" is quickly becoming interchangeable with racist, homophobic, xenophobic, misogynist, Christian-fundamentalist, gun-toting, hateful, high-spending, anti-intellectual, and incompetent. I pine for the days when a centrist voter had an actual choice between the two parties. Nowadays nobody with more than tuppence worth of brains has any business voting Republican. They are the party of evil.

a highly qualified, reasonable middle of the road  Republican

There are many highly qualified middle of the road Republicans. Not many of them stood for election for president.
The Kochs and their friends control the money. The GOP runs the US for the benefit of 3 million Americans.

You watch too much CNN. They repeat those phrases often enough to their mouth breathing audience.

By the way, are you planning on creating an individual reparations fund as proposed by Professor Michael Eric Dyson?
Such privileged individuals such as yourself should just empty your bank account. You should be ashamed of yourself if you don't

Unfortunately any decent Republican who sticks his head above the parapet will be subject to a systemic campaign of character assasination by your buddies in the liberal media

Quote On Romney from the article:

"Four years ago, he was a bloodsucking capitalist vampire whose indictment of Obamacare was ipso facto proof of his racism. In The Daily Beast, he was called a "race-mongering pyromaniac." On MSNBC, he was accused, by a black commentator, of the "niggerization" of Obama into "the scary black man who we've been trained to fear."

I think the republican primaries take care of that.

Romney was a bully in school who kicked the crap out of a kid who was too "feminine" for his liking, strapped a dog carrier to the roof of his car on a long road trip, and came across as a sociopath to anyone who had any dealings with him. Yeah, that makes him "decent" by modern Republican standards. BTW, how's  the campaign going to repeal Romneycare in Mass.?

Oh come off it!! Now you're being completely disingenuous! ;D

The GOP primaries pummeled Romney as a "vulture capitalist" - you don't remember Gingrich solemnly warning the world about Romney and Bain Capital? Wasn't there a half hour infomercial commissioned and paid for by Gingrich on the subject? Romney had to declare himself a "severe" conservative who would make immigrants "self-deport". That was months and months before Obama ever got near him.

And racial hype aside (which I do not recall being in any way, shape or form being a part of the campaign arsenal used against him, which is not to say it wasn't used by idiotic individuals), Rooney's hypocrisy on Obamacare was completely fair game, given his own accomplishments while governor.

Romney ran as one thing, then tried to "etch a sketch" into another, to the extent that he spent the final debate pretty much agreeing with Obama on everything, domestically.

That's one way of avoiding answering.  If you were really invested in it you'd be writing a check.
Or maybe you realise that sort of guilt tripping is wrong but haven't the balls to call it out.

And this "it's all your fault, liberals" nonsense is just dumb.

The GOP chose Trump, not us. The likes of Rubio or Jeb would probably have beaten Hillary too and they'd be governing as typical, hardline conservatives, not the undisciplined, far right extremist man-baby that is in the White House now.

Why did milions and millions of people who voted for Obama TWICE, turn round and vote for Trump this year?

More College educated women voted for Trump than voting for Hillary....that's pretty incredible?  Why do you think they did that?

(Think about it.  They could have made history and elected a woman to the highest office in the land, but instead they voted for a crass, obnoxious, adulterous clown who boasted about sexually assaulting women)

The GOP is split into 3 factions. Ideologues like Ryan. Breitbart ers like Bannon. And semi housetrained.
