In the short term the markets will surge under Trump because they think there is a lot of financial deregulation and lower taxes on corporate profits and capital gains coming. However in the longer term it is a surge in infrastructure spending that will promote real economic growth. The jury is still out on whether the GOP will back Trump on the spending.
