The US has made some major foreign policy f**k-ups over the past half century + but surely the continued cold war with Cuba must  be the most ludicrous policy for the longest time of any successive governments of any one country*.

How anyone can criticise a country making or reciprocating overtures from one of their neighbours is beyond me.

Gmac take a bow son.

* exc Eng's occupation of Ireland of course  ;)
driven by bitter Cuban exiles in miamI who are dying off

The Israel lovers are something else ::)
The whole world is out of step with them.
Netanyahu  is a grade A arsehole.  He went behind Obama 's back to speak to congress in 2011 and the GOP gave him 29 ovations. He bet the house on the GOP and now it has no voters. Now AIPAC has to invite Trump to its conference even though he has made antisemitic  statements. You couldn't make it up.

So he just showed up and they let him speak, is that your story? Wise up ffs.

You liberals lie a lot, Obama knew he was coming for a month or more but you make it seem like he snuck into the country and delivered, he did not meet with Obama because he has no time for the useless f**ker!

Where's the lie? Netanyahu snubbed Obama and accepted an offer from the GOP to address the house.

Tell us, what is Obama doing wrong with respect to Israel?

See Obamas over getting some tips from his heroes the Castro brothers today.
Won't meet the Israeli pm but will fly to Cuba to meet these ,guys does anyone else think this is unreal.

Do you mean that it's unreal that a President of the US has the foresight to do both? absolutely, seems perfectly reasonable, smart even.

If you mean that it is unreal that the President of the USA is meeting the president of a neighboring country that it is re-establishing valuable trade and political links with the US? well, that seems perfectly reasonable- smart even.

That he is also not meeting the PM of a country that is arguing about the details of the 10 year multibillion defense aid agreement it is receiving from the US, and also interfered with the US international relationships and domestic security policy to try and collapse the US led international nuclear treaty with Iran? again, that seems perfectly reasonable- smart even

The fact that its because that PM declined to travel to the US to accept the President's invite for bilateral talks (but falsely blamed it on the president's schedule)- well that seems a bit daft of the PM of that small country roughly the size of half of ulster. And maybe unreal that the President would ask twice. After all he's not seeking re-election and can maybe use that fact on behalf of the US in those talks.

Glad to see you share your delight in such a public way...
Unreal indeed!

I am sure the people of Cuba who have lived their lives under these  two tramps share your view that Obama is a visionary, as do the Cuban people of Miami! :-[ :-[

There are so many reasons to not have done this but hey, the prez can do no wrong at this stage in the eyes of the likes of you.......maybe its the legal/illegal thing, I know not the attraction with this useless b**tard.

So what SHOULD he be doing stew?

Does Trump actually have any policies other than the ambiguous 'we need to get smarter', 'we are losing so bad' and 'we need to figure out what the hell is going on'. His interview on FOX after the Belgium attacks spoke volumes for his total lack of solutions (on terrorism in this instance). He just peddles put the same nothing phrases. If the American public can't see through the fact he is a total bluffer then he is the President they deserve.

NO!!!! The Emperor's New Clothes Springs to mind. . . when is that nutbar of a Country going to wake up and realise that he hasn't a f**king clue how to run the show and it's going to affect the rest of the World.

When he made another unsubstantiated claim about a protestor at his rally being involved with ISIS he was called on it by an anchor and said "I don't know, all I know is what's on the internet"

Yeah we want him!!!!

What the hell is getting into the Clintons?

They seem to be losing the plot completely

http://www.nytimes.com/politics/first-draft/2016/03/22/rivals-seize-on-bill-clintons-remarks-about-obamas-last-eight-years/?_r=0

http://www.inquisitr.com/2907196/chelsea-clinton-says-hillary-clinton-wants-obamacare-for-illegal-aliens-video/

1. Come on - Clinton is clearly talking about GOP conduct and obstructionism (this one is even worse and more pathetic than the "you didn't build that" outrage of four years ago!).
2. Would Obamacare coverage for illegals NOT be better than the current situation where they go to casualty for any and all care and leave the state with the (expensive) tab? Given that conservatives are supposedly MOST worried about government costs?

Well, he's call everyone names and boasting about his brain power, so there's that.

You and I both know that, but will the low information voters know it?

Very similar to Romneys 47% comment. Everyone (who wanted to) knew what he meant but he didn't articulate it properly and it got twisted and turned

Well human rights abuses seem top be beyond you, the fact he took it up the arse and gave them many concessions they asked for, all the while getting absolutely nothing in return.

Communism is an insidious disease, Castro is a bit more progressive than his brother however he is still torturing his people and 45000 Cubans left fir the states last year, why do you think that is happening?

Ask for a credit card up front. Works for hotels.

I hadn't seen any coverage of the new US state department policy of having diplomatic and trade relations only with countries with a strong record on human rights. Like say for example China, or Saudi Arabia...

And I was also unaware of the president "took it up the arse", again something I would have expected would have attracted a significant amount of press. At the very least some of the comedians should have been picking that kind of thing up.
Never underestimate the predictability of stupidity
