Hers a post from a friend of mine who lives in the Boston area which gives a flavour of the atmosphere - She voted for Kasich in the Republican primary. Where will it end I wonder??

I'm sick to my stomach over the hate that has so quickly risen to the surface in the Middle schools and High schools, our own included. I can't help but think this atmosphere of "telling it like it is" and normalizing of hate that is trickling down - no, roaring down like a waterfall - from Trump, Christie, Cruz, Rubio, Palin, and more. The antisemitism that was displayed by Catholic Memorial students at the Newton North basketball game is not an anomoly. Last week, antisemitic "jokes" on the school bus turned into outright claims that Jews are "scum" and "deserve to be made fun of." This week, it comes to light that other kids have been making antisemitic "jokes" and comments for weeks. At the high school, a Muslim student is in tears repeatedly at school due to the hateful things students and faculty alike say about Muslims. It's terrifying how quickly this type of behavior has become so common. And from children whose parents, at least in some cases, I KNOW would be utterly horrified and confounded as to how their children came to even know these hateful things. It's a poison like the water in Flint that is contaminating our children.

Catholic Students were responding to taunts of "Sausage Fest" and a few weeks earlier the same Newton North supporters were heard chanting "build a wall" to students from an Hispanic neighborhood. I'm sick to fvckin death of this perennial victimhood and safe space bull$hit. When you poke a dog with a stick and get bitten don't go off crying to mommy. When I went to school differences were settled the old fashioned way and no one was any worse for it

very few students who attend "catholic" schools even go to Mass. The majority of Catholic Schools would recognize that over 50% of their students come from non-catholic homes. In fact  locally an all girls catholic school has banned anyone from blessing themselves as it is an insult (confrontational) to Muslim students.....
I wouldn't label religion in any of these reports. It's people. Bad people, ignorant people fueled by ignorant cultures
I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight

What my friend was saying was that these examples of racism, homophobia name calling etc  are given validation by the poisonous public utterances of supposed presidential candidates. Of course physical violence as a method of conflict resolution has always worked well hasn't it.

Differences being settled is a euphemism for beating the crap out of somebody as per Trump and his ilk.

No wonder they don't believe in evolution as they are still living in the past

Your friend is full of crap....my wife went to Catholic school in metro Boston in the mid 80s and they used to have to run for their lives after games against certain opponents (other Catholic Schools)....that was long before Donald Trump ever became a candidate for president.

And yes, I was exaggerating a little in my old school outlook as to how to settle scores, but the prospect of getting a belt in the gob might make some of these NN kids think twice before starting $hit at the next game. They started it, and instead of admitting any culpability they go running off to the ADL and the medi.....I would be completely embarrassed if I was in any way connected to Newton North

I just love reasoned debate

muppet

1980s Boston had the likes of Whitey Bolger in his prime. Times Square was sleazy hole and many US cities were dangerous places at night.

We have moved on a long way from that, but Trump is dragging us back there. I saw the phrase 'normalisation of hatred' somewhere. That is exactly what he is doing.

Disgusting scenes at the Trump rally in Chicago by the libtards.
The usual suspects out in force ready to disrupt and start riots at the first sign of something they disagree with.
The media did a good job stopping news of all the looting and gunfire after the rally, cos lets face it, not like them to miss an opportunity to do some free shopping!

The bright spot here is that the general american public will now wake up and see that if these types hate Trump so much then he must be doing something right.
The Kenyan lad has brought them to this point with his policies and pandering to sections of the community. It needs to stop.

Have a look at this and keep on blaming the liberals . . . Do Trump and his supporters not deserve their fair share of the blame??

Like I said before, there is no reason for anti-trump protestors to attend his rallies. These anti-trump bullies are the ones inflaming the situation and should let democracy take its course even if they don't like his message.

If there was no popular support for Mr Trumps policies he wouldn't be winning all these states. Just shows the american public are sick of pandering to the PC brigade and are willing to be more vocal about it now.

Have you read the US Constitution?? First amendment means that liberals can protest Trump all they want!! Are you saying that people shouldn't be allowed to exercise their first amendment rights just because they are liberal?

I am saying they had no right to be in that building because had rented the space and he had every right to get them kicked out based on that alone.

I despise the arrogant privk, but if it was Clinton instead of Trump I would say the same thing, only those on the uber left like Eamon and his ilk can argue a lost cause like this.

Some of you are dangerous because you cannot see past your liberal nose and nothing a conservative person says is of any use to you.
Armagh, the one true love of a mans life.

There is nobody for conservatives to vote for. The GOP is so extremist. Cruz was behind the 2013 shutdown. Rubio is a clown.  Trump is a proto fascist.

Exactly - some liberals think democracy is something only they are entitled to and try to silence anyone with a differing point of view that doesn't fit in with their self-righteous PC opinion.

Protest outside peacefully if you want to get your message across but overstepping the mark disrupting the rally inside and going up on stage could spark off all sorts of problems.
