A real feeling of meh about this game tonight.  Of course I would love to see them finish the season on a high as that will encourage investors but it will also push up the price which is not ideal either.  All my earlier feelings of delusion about getting CL football next season have dissipated into f**k you, you yankie bastards!

I see Liverpool have been named the 6th richest sports team in the world this morning, according to Forbes - at a value of $822 million

Portsmouth have failed in their appeal to get into the Europa Cup, so 5th, 6th and 7th from the league qualify.

If Liverpool win the Europa Cup, then 8th will also qualify. So all the toffees will be supporting Liverpool tonight...

Not usually one for soccer rumors but I picked this one up on Twitter earlier:

"JUST IN................... from the same guy who reported the john terry thing 2 days before it got out.

Gerrard moving abroad in the summer because his wife's having an affair with a Derby County player and he's got a 16 year old pregnant, and she's keeping it. Apparently everyone in Liverpool has already accepted that he's going. He's in court at the moment trying to stop it all coming out so Capello doesn't kick him out of the world cup squad."

This has been mentioned on the Liverpool forums but is shite, just like the rumours the last time he had a bad spell. The ones on the forums are saying no word of it round liverpool at all until the last few days when it started appearing on the internet.

Time will tell if anything to it but he was snapped in the paper last week with the wife and weeks at a park where they met Kerry Katona. Maybe they where getting marriage conselling from her!!

I can safely say it's almost certainly total cobblers. Rumours like this come out every 3 months in Liverpool. Same thing happened to Fowler. Every few months he was either shagging someone or his wife was shagging someone or he had his head buried in a mountain of cocaine in the bogs of some hotel. Same stories now about Gerrard. Usually appears on an Everton forum and before long it's gospel around Merseyside.

Maybe this one is true but hard to pay much heed to it at the rate rumours come flying out of Liverpool.
