Unbelievable all of this.  The only one who comes out with any degree of competence is 'Olly' who was obviously watching the match, unlike the VAR and his sidekick. 

This isn't one of those suck it up or move on mistakes.  Liverpool would be perfectly entitled to demand a replay imo (queue lots of whatabboutery and victim calling). Maybe that would be enough to shake things up a bit and bring in changes that will benefit ALL teams, not just Liverpool.

There's not a sporting association on this earth would award a replay in these circumstances.

You know why? Because they'd then have to allow and review similar objections from any aggrieved teams going forward. And then they'd have to decide on an outcome.

So instead of results being occasionally influenced by the actions of officials, they'd be determined by the actions of administrators and lawyers (and deeper pockets).

It's not solving a problem, when the outcome creates a bigger problem.

Roll forward 7 months in this "replay land". Arsenal, for talks sake, need a win for the title, are 2-0 down in the dying throes of injury time and a consolation goal is ruled out incorrectly.

He didn't ask for a replay ffs. Go and watch the video instead of jumping onto a message board after reading a click bait headline.
He said for him as a football person the only outcome is a replay, but that he knows it would never happen and then outlines the reasons why it wouldn't happen. Namely that everyone would want it etc.
Now what the media do is pounce on this to fill tomorrows inches because they know idiots with the attention span of a goldfish will lap it up without looking at the whole conversation. "ZOMGGG KLOPP DEMANDS REPLAY!! Who does he think he is?!"

Communication (or lack off) from the ref leaves a lot to be desired.
Refusal to contact the ref after the error was spotted also raises questions.
"Can't do anything" - so abrupt from VAR when AVAR,screen operator + Oli back at VAR HQ all seemed fairly worried about the mistake.

Why so intent on following protocol when mistake was realised whereas in the 20 seconds before that so much protocol and guidance were ignored.

Compare that audio to the VVD red audio. Ref's communication is spot on with VAR and player in that game.
Hooper shut his mouth and is getting off scott free here.

Really feel for the AVAR who really didn't do much wrong.

Seems like there will be a queue of games to be replayed if this nonsense from Klopp gets any momentum. He'd be better focusing on keeping 11 players on the pitch

You think he'll be keen to raise another rumpus? Klopp doing this to put pressure on future calls against Liverpool. Whether that's right or wrong is another issue.
