#LFC line up: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Gomez, Robertson, Henderson, Wijnaldum, Jones, Mane, Salah, Firmino.

Subs: Adrian, Milner, Minamino, Jota, Shaqiri, R. Williams, N. Williams.

Squad getting firmly tested these days. Phillips to fill the gap today.

No VVD, Matip, Fab,Thiago, Naby, And Kostas

That's what squads are for.  If you use your squad well in a season like this where games are coming hard and fast, players should remain fresh and fit. And peripheral players should be happier.

Brilliant 3 points that.  What a ball from Shaq again for the goal. Jota is turning into a fantastic signing.
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

Awesome pass by Shaq.
Going to be hard to keep Diogo off the starting team!

Have to disagree with this bizarre assessment. Potentially 45 million on a player who as it stands isn't a starter. Would be understandable if he was some 18 year old wonderkid with huge potential, but he's almost 24 and unlikely to improve dramatically.

Jota is doing alright

Job done but leakiest defence in the Prem is a hell of a worry especially with City and Leicester coming up.

The whole poor defence thing is somewhat of a red herring if you look at the bigger picture. None of the teams competing at the top are keeping goals out to any great extent. So the fact Liverpool's defence is not as strong at the moment as it has been, isn't that much of a hindrance. City and Leicester for example are just as likely to concede as Liverpool at the moment.

Agreed. That one crazy game against Villa skews the statistic.

Allison, is part of things being more comfortable. A good goalie makes defenders relax as they know their mistakes are less likely be punished. This positivity/Confidence feeds through. A confidence that Karius/Mingolet/Adrian never had.

The biggest concern I would say was until Salah's blatent dive, there wasn't a shot on target.

Yep, In this particular game, but that is uncharacteristic and as such isn't really a concern.

7 matches, 1 clean sheet. Conceded multiples against Leeds and Everton on top of the Villa anomaly. Delusional if you don't believe it's an issue. Look at the GA columns for the past 2 seasons. Yes it's great that they are grinding out the wins but they can't go a whole season like that whilst shipping goals.
