Well unfortunately for Barcelona there will be no deal.  The add ons are a joke aswell.  Apparently he needed to win multiple champions leagues plus win the ballon d'Or!!

So Liverpool hold out for a price they don't get? What do they do with their player then?

When we get down to 4 or 5 days left in the transfer window. Time running out to recycle the money/ promise of money. Stick to their guns then?

The player will still be under contract in a world cup year.  Up to him then if he wants to play in World Cup.  Liverpool hold all the aces so its up to Barca to make an offer that the club can't refuse.  I would say 140 million would get the owners to go back on their word.

Agreed. As laudable as Fenway's 'not for sale at any price' stance is it simply means 'we want more money'.  No owners with a brain will keep a player that doesn't want to be there and will simply push for as much dough as they can lever.  Fenway will sell him, they just want better terms.

Did you fall asleep for the Bosman ruling?

Come back in 5 years when he will be able to leave on a Bosman - he signed a 5 year extension seven months ago.

Play him.  They could also of course be looking at other options now rather than leave it until the end of the window.  But given the track record of transfers under FSG i wouldn't be holding out much hope of them landing a replacement any time soon.
That's just, like your opinion man.

Indeed, thus Liverpool hold all the aces.

Clever move. He he could refuse to play for the next 5 years and leave on a free when he's 30!   ;)

Interesting team selection today, clear rotation which is good to see. Team looks a little weaker on paper but Salah available to come off the bench and squad needs to be utilised to compete at home and in Europe.

We haven't seen this yet from Klopp. Players won't be used to it but let's hope they rise to the occasion.

Result achieved but poor performance. I know Kopp needs to rotate players but on this evidence coutinho needs to get fit soon or he needs sold and money invested!

Coutinho needs kept. It could easily have been more doom and gloom but plenty of relief to get the win.

Robertson looked decent. Has a good delivery on him. Wasn't really tested defensively. Gomez was solid too. Matip was good.

Midfield was lacking in creativity. Sturridge was sharp and lively on the ball but expectedly only lasted an hour. Salah and Solanke had good cameos.

Firmino was below par and Mane got the goal.

We will take it. Regardless of the Coutinho situation, reinforcements are needed.

Paul Joyce saying Barcelona have told Liverpool that they have until Sunday evening to change their mind or the bid will be withdrawn...didn't they get the fax on Friday rejecting that bid?!

Probably not since unlike LFC, Barca aren't still living in the 1980s and using fax machines!  ;D
