Minus15

If he was available, Bale would be a suitable replacement

Way of the future.

All teams will have them very shortly.

Probably won't be long till GAA follows.

100 mil yoyo's for Coutinho rejected

Is that not mad? Surely Liverpool wouldn't get more than that to win the League? Think of all the Southampton players they could buy with that amount of money!

They should be bringing in those sorts of reinforcements anyway, even without selling Coutinho

Exactly. It's very similar to the Suarez leaving transfer window. Liverpool needed to strengthen anyway, because of the Champions League qualification. Instead they lost Suarez, and never replaced him.

If Liverpool lost Coutinho now, and brought in Salah and Van Dijk, are they really better? Maybe in a 1-11 they are, but as a squad they are not. Ideally you'd be holding onto Coutinho, and bringing in 2-3 First teamers. If you lose Coutinho you still need to buy those 2-3 and ALSO replace him. I don't want to hear how the Countinho money financed the move for van Dijk or something.

Very underwhelmed by the Transfer Window dealings. And it's so late now, that any new lad that does come in will not have had a pre-season with Klopp so can't be prepared fully.

I see Liverpool finishing 5th or 6th.

Would be suicide to let Coutinho go now so he'll be at Liverpool for another season then off to Barca, for a similar price but sell him at the end of the season and have your sights on other players, just dont tap them up ;)

getting harder and harder for teams to get players worth their salt, fair play to the Spurs lads that stay with their pay structure the way it is, they could be getting triple their wages elsewhere

that would be the best solution alright. But they still need to strengthen the first XI even with Coutinho. If he stays they have loads of options up front with Mané, Salah, Firmino, Lallana, Coutinho, Sturridge and even Ings and Solanke. It's from there back that I think they are still bare. Van Dijk would help, but another strong midfielder would be useful. Hopefully Robertson settles in at left back, which might allow Milner become a utility Midfielder, but I still think a centre back and midfielder are needed.

Everyone knows a CB and Strong MF is what is needed. Coutinho will go to Barca next summer hopefully with our good wishes and a trophy or two to show for it but to do that at least 2 players are needed.

Stallion has been conspicuous by his absence....surely he'd be all over this destroying Klopp....

That's what makes the inactivity very disappointing.

Definitely been disappointing so far. Salah and Solanke are good signings but not necessarily what was needed (although if Couthinho goes then Salah was a must). If Couthinho goes and with no LLanna for a couple of months you will probably see Firmino drop into the 10 roles with Salah and Mane wide and Sturridge/Solanke/Origi upfront. Not bad, but nowhere near the strength that we are with Cout. Also leaves us exposed on the bench (Woodburn?).

I get the feeling that a lot of eggs were put in the Keita basket and fair play to Leipzig for playing hardball. They could potentially lose £20m plus through holding on to him for an extra year. The Emre Can situation is worrying as well. Juve are trying to take advantage of the 1 year to run on the contract scenario to get him on the cheap (£18-£20m). Would be a big loss at this point but I dont think FSG would allow that kind of financial loss (Unlike Leipzig) for someone they view as non core. Couthinho is different as because of the 5 year contract and the PSG/Barca interest as well they know he will still be worth big money next year.

I still think VVD is a possibility but would be worried about any new signings coming in who have not done a Klopp preseason. A coupel of bad results in August Sept and you are playiong catch up from then on with (hopefully) Champions League to contend with as well.

I still think VVD will be Liverpool player at the end of the window.

It would make sense for Southampton to let him for with Sahko going the other way, I think that would be a great deal for all concerned.
