Celeb Spot: Paul Galvin in the United end and AP McCoy on flight home on Sunday evening.

like I needed another reason to dislike him  :D

As a neutral (Honestly I was) on Sunday I thought the ref did well, and got most of the big calls right. It was a nightmare to ref the game, and he was under great pressure from the players. If I had one criticism he should've booked Rooney for constant whining.

Sorry Norf, you have got it all wrong. That's just him showing his "passion" and if you take that away you only have half the player etc etc etc etc etc etc..................

Would you criticise the ref for not booking Lucas after a litany of fouls?

Lucas probably should have been booked earlier but so should Vidic. Rooney I didn't expect to get booked as he seems to get away with getting in the referee's face every game he plays.

At the time, I thought some of them where harsh and I watched game again last night and I'd thought the same. I can't understand the stuff about ref, at the time, I thought he got a few 50/50 very wrong in uniteds favour. I think in build up to second goal he let a clear foul on Insua or Aurelio go but Liverpool won the ball back of nani and scored from break out.

If thats the biggest error the ref made, not booking Lucas, he done fine. Got big calls right.

5 f**king fouls and not even a yellow

Yeah, totally changed the match outcome.  ::)

I know it didn't, but the ref (that got all the big calls right  ::)) should at least be consistant.

What big decisions he get wrong then? He was consitant, never booked Vidic. When he got his first booking I had assumed he was booked earlier. 2/3 times he went into Torres from behind and no booking.

Giggs was pushed over in the box in the first half and should have had a penalty. First booking for Vidic was harsh enough.

IMHO i think carragher should have been sent off for the tackles on rooney and owen. Evra got booked on his second foul (which Torres tripped himself), then Lucas commits 5 fouls and doesn't even get booked.

To be fair while Torres did trip over himself, I thought Evra's challenge for the 2nd foul was probably enough to merit a yellow itself. Lucas should have been booked as well though.

Really? He had two swipes at Torres from what I can recall. The second after the ref had already blown the whistle. That's leaving aside the fact he probably should have been booked even before that.
