Did some big string of p*ss not give Mc Cloy a rough enough time against Mayo in Celtic Park this year.

Your man Barry Moran? Not really - he scored a good point and got a soft goal (the ball bounced off barry gillis' chest when he should have made an easy catch - big man tapped it in). No more trouble than any of these big target men cause these days - mccloy would be up for them physically

Actually the Derry full back line (Sean marty, mccloy, mcgoldrick) was very solid that day - especially in the 2nd half

Mc Cloy was awesome all year - especially against Dublin when he lorded it - and nearly filled the Davin stand with Dublin forwards - he hit them that hard -

The awards up in the air after that final, I'd make these favourites in this order
1 Declan O'Sullivan
2 Marc O'Se
3 Tomas O'Se

Maybe Tommy Freeman or Kevin McCloy in with a small shout but really can't see it.
Killian Young of Padraig reidy for the young player award also. Kerry deserve them both, miles ahead of the rest this year

Wouldn't argue with that. I think Declan O'Sullivan has been like a rolls royce engine this season. I would put Killian Young slightly ahead of Padraig Reidy for young player.
KERRY 3:7

Jesus - it would be some year for Declan O'Sullivan if he were to get player of year as well.

Kerry Mike

Declan gets my vote with Killian Young as the Fear Og. And still a 4th Kerry Championship in a row to chase down in a few weeks, Declan is putting together some haul of medals over the last few years, and he's only 24 yet. Whatever he did in Oz I hope it rubs off on Cooper if he goes.

Captain Fantastic and the only way to repay the boo boys from the Munster final last year.

Declan was my POTY before Sunday. I'd day the gap has closed now and you wouldn't begrudge Marc or Tomas the award. Killian Young again was the YPOTY elect before Sunday but didn't really enhance it. Still, can't see any other major contenders. Is Sherlock still a lad?
I wanna have my kicks before the whole shithouse goes up in flames.

McGoldrick might be worth a shout??

Will they consider the Tommy Murphy Cup?
best final of the year - apart from the All Ireland Junior Club - who won that one anyway? ;D

If they did take the TM into consideration. There is an Antrim lad who could be on the YPoY shortlist.

If they do take the TM on board then CJ MCGourty would be in with a chance for YPOTY but he was never up against the same standard all year as Killian Young (no offence to the teams involved in teh TM Cup)

cant believe people persist in picking Canty at full back. It must be that McCloy wasnt seen cause of the lack of TV coverage of Derry games this year

I don't think that this is serious team, put up for a wind up given all the comments on this thread about Mc Cloy. Not a bad side overall, but bad full back and no O'Se in the middle. I would like to see that full forward line come out in the all stars but I doubt it. Also for all the talk of other players Moyles was defo Meath's most important player this year.
