Quote from: SouthOfThe Bann on October 26, 2025, 04:23:41 PMHow will the GAA board fraternity frame this one against Cavan?

Munterconnacht division 3 side got promoted this year for first time in decades.

Munchies won't win it out but might get one more win.
Cavan clearly have pedigree at this level. Clonmore won the Armagh JFC replay on Saturday and they play Munterconnaught next. It would be a big shock if they were to beat the Cavan champions.

Can't see Clonmore doing much with only a week turnaround. Couple of handy players but not a particularly strong team.

Sarsfields- who knows with the 3 weeks gap and if the game is at home they have enoigh big awkward men to at least compete but Derry usually strong.

Predictions for weekend:

St Patrick's Donagh v St Agnes - Donagh should win with a few to spare

Emyvale v Carndonagh - Emyvale too strong

Slaugtmanus v Clogher - Clogher I would imagine

Clonmore v Munterconnaught - Munterconnaught on basis of prelim result but could be tight enough

Winner of Derry/Antrim prelim game? Or am I reading that wrong. Likely to be Derry champions who are usually strong?

Two clubs that played Division 2 football this year. Heard St Agnes don't want promoted in Antrim
For 2026 but instead remain Junior.

And Sarsfields are intermediate so he's correct. Although Glenullin have a game to win first.

Won't/doesn't matter. Clogher should win handy enough.
