Get your lot on Blackpool next week, cant see Utd playing at least 7/8 players that could be starting against Barca.

Think Utd would have struggled to get a goal in normal circumstances but it was defo penalty, watched it several times. job done. Should help Utd prepare for the Final in two weeks

Great day! Wouldn't have minded drawing it out for another week and giving the ABU's some hope, nothing worse than hope! :D.

I see Ferguson has said that, should United secure the league against Blackburn, he'll rest his first XI against Blackpool. Blackpool were ironically fined for doing the same thing last year against Villa. They only lost the match in its final stages but were still fined. It will be interesting to see what happens.

This rule is absolutely ridiculous and an insult to the professionalism of players at clubs. Every player in a first team squad should be considered as equals in the eyes of the FA, it's not up to them to say that Rooney is better than Berbatov or Vidic better than Evans. Shambolic.

I don't agree. It's important to the intergrity of the competition that a team put out its best side, and be seen to put out its best side. Blackpool won't have to play Man Utd's best side. How do we know this? Because Man Utd have said they won't be putting out their best side! By your logic, Man Utd are insulting the professionalism of their own players.

Having said all that, if the FA haven't the balls to apply the rule in any meaningful sense they should get rid of it

Sure the Utd team who beat Schalke easy enough wasn't their best side etc etc...

Well done.

Ryan, Paul.  36 now.  Isn't it time to grow up and go into management?

Great stuff. The MOST important title is won. Champions league would be a nice bonus now. I have been a Utd supporter for over 30 years now and they give the supporters great satisfaction. Best club in the world.

Given the start Chelsea had to the season, given that this United team were not much better than ordinary, the injury list, the Rooney saga etc etc, this must rank very high on Ferguson's list of achievements.

Well done United. They did it the hard way but fair play.

You mean you have been an investor in Manchester United PLC for over 30 years. There will be some parties across southern England and the Far East tonight.

I imagine Feguson and the United squad couldn't care less what any of them think.

No, but they might have a laugh at a Liverpool supporting Laois lad who has a pop at United fans who aren't from Manchester at every opportunity.
