Saw a couple of more films over the weekend.

Scott Pilgrim v The World - Not often I'd do this, but I turned it off half way. It was the biggest pile of nonsense I've had the misfortunate to watch in a long time. Disappointing, as I've heard nothing but good stuff about this and was really looking forward to it. I guess I've taken that step into the 'next generation' and no longer find films targeted at the youth market all that appealing anymore.

Black Dynamite - Ended up watching this after Scott Pilgrim. A very funny film. It's a spoof of blaxploitation from the 70s. I'd highly recommend it to anyone, who isn't easily offended.

Went to see Yogi Bear at the weekend. The wee lad loved it.

I know I'm running late, but I saw True Grit last night. Thought it blew Wayne's version out of the water, and as always Bridges was fantastic.

Agnes Dipesto

For any DiCaprio fans, The Basketball Diaries is on TCM tonight at 10.55pm. Very good film and he is excellent in it.

I like that list Canalman, especially Wicker Man (the one with Edward Woodward). Another one I thought was good too was Race with the Devil with Peter Fonda, think it was made in the 70's.

Salem's Lot was brilliant and I remember being freaked out by that scene of the young boy at the window. Another film I found totally disturbing was The Exorcist. I watched it once and vowed never again.

Wicker Man and Race with the Devil 2 great shows. Something scary about everyone in the village being after you. Bit like Deliverance which is unsettling also.

1970s films seemed scarier for some reason also.

Unfortunately The Exorcist never had any effect on me as I saw Repossesed with Leslie Nielsen first so every scene had the piss taken out of it first.

I can't stand DiCaprio, sorry.

DiCaprio may have done some daft blockbusters but i have found him to be a very good actor. IMO

I like DiCaprio, but only saw this film about 2 years ago.  Seriously over-rated.

Came across a film on IMDB called The Human Centipede: First Sequence a while back, it was on that SyFy channel last night and I decided to watch it. Anyone else ever seen it? I really don't know how these sort of films make it past the suggestion box! Maybe it's easier to make it in Hollywood than I thought.

Tony Baloney

Watched The Other Guys last night. It's a bit off the wall in a Peter Sellers/Pink Panther way but very enjoyable. Solid 8.5.

Milltown Row2

Watched a Spanish film i Sky plus'ed. Timecrimes, not bad and had a different take on the hazards of time travel. 7.5

People don't get the other guys because it is not the usual laugh a minute will ferell type movie, but it is just as good as his other movies with an odd couple theme.
