Medical experts have suggested a minor ligament tear would keep him out for between three and four weeks, but back in time for the World Cup.

More inane speculation.

I tore ligaments in my ankle a while ago and was back within two weeks.
Wouldnt surprise me to see Rooney back a bit earlier or around the same time with world class treatment.

I would imagine its a little different coming back after two weeks and playing in front of one man and his dog on a sunday morning against a load of fellas who were on the piss the night before and coming back and playing at the highest level of the sport against some of the best players on the planet...just saying like......

Playing at the highest level, and getting the best treatment in the world dont forget. Ligament damage is not awfully serious, many a player can be back in to time.

All I saying is that Utd may exaggerate the out period to a month and play mind games so Rooney will be a surprise selection again.
