I would say in the Guvnors's defence that Friedel and Bentley were sold from under him at the start of the season. Someone said the jump from League 2 was too big yet there is a school of thought that a high profile ex player should cut his teeth lower down the leagues before getting a crack at an EPL job.........

Have to agree with that.  Friedel was a huge loss.  Wherever Paul Robinson has been the team always leak loads of goals.  He always seems to escape serious scrutiny compared to David James and other keepers.  Even going back to when he was at Leeds the team went down hill fast when they sold Nigel Martin.  Not the only reason but a big factor IMO.
There are no proofs, only opinions.

Big Sam is a good bet to keep them up. Problem with him and the type of football that he'll have them playing is that while he's in charge they'll never do better than mid table, although they'd probably bite your arm off for that at this stage.

'The gap was embarrassing,' said Ince. 'I was not expecting it to be quite so easy for United. But they are playing some fantastic football. Maybe early in the season, when they didn't hit the heights they can do, you could question their game.
'Now they are playing great football and Wayne Rooney is back in form. It was men against boys. That's not being disrespectful, it's just the way it is.'

On the ball I thought.

Indeed. And even if it wasn't, how was it disingenuous? Dismissive or disrespectful of Celtic, maybe.
