Carrickmore v Errigal can't see it...

As a neutral would actually like to see An Charraig Mhór break their barren spell after 20 years.

Edendork v Carrickmore probably the pick of them.

Lough v donaghmore will be a decent game too.

Trillick and errigle will be well rested for a semi final

Yeah would agree Lough and Donaghmore pick of the round be interesting to see the two young up and coming teams go at it.

I have a feeling donaghmore would take it but can't be sure. Lough would need to do better defensively? Is fox due back.

Edendork carrickmore more of an also ran fixture for me.

Hard to look past EC and Trillick 20 years from anyone has won the O'Neill cup back to back I believe is it any wonder our county champions don't always make an impact in Ulster the Kilcoo have been Down champions for 11 of the last 12 years it's a big advantage having Ulster experience regularly.

Easttyrone23

Losing to your parish rivals in a championship game is not an easy one to take but fair play to Donaghmore who could have easily dropped the heads after the first 20 mins when it looked like there'd be only one winner, but instead put in one of the best championship performances I've seen in the other 40 mins and came out deserving winners in the end.

The most frustrating thing from a Galbally point of view was how our midfield went from dominating the midfield battle in those opening 20 mins to then getting absolutely roasted in the midfield battle the rest of the game. We had no problem hitting scores but couldn't win the next kickout and couldn't handle grimes and Cush who give our defenders a roasting.

Despite the result, it was a high quality and entertaining game. It's not too often you'd see a game that had 52 scores and only 3 wides.

Quote from: KingKong1 on September 14, 2025, 02:40:45 PMI wonder how Boghopper is going to feel about Omagh using D3 players to hammer Derrylaughan today?? Both Derrylaughan and Derrytresk embarrassed by the 3rds this weekend.
I couldn't care less about Derrytresk or Derrylaughan but definitely a bad weekend round Falls and the Hill Hut. Given how many thirds games DNF hard to see where they found Div 3 footballers for today saying as they weren't available most weeks 😂

Interesting to see how Errigal progress with their newfound squad, when number 29 wins man of the match it raises a few eyebrows I'd imagine. Drumragh will highlight any big 3A - 3B gap. Derrytresk didn't deliver following their 3B League dominance regardless of an improved EC IIIs or not, standard poor on Saturday - can't win matches kicking wides like that. Derrytresk usually rely on Gavin but he had one to forget. Coney you'd imagine will be off to bigger things, CV looks good - got promotion at the end of the day. Clogher badly scarred by Cookstown in recent times, will they relish another crack at them? Hard to get up for that mentally you'd have to think.

Derrylaughan had a year to forget, whole set up a shambles from the start of the year - couldn't have orchestrated your downfall better if you tried it seemed. See who gets the role next year, hopefully can't get much worse, and a few less injuries perhaps. Coney's next project perhaps  ;D

Why were Derrylaughan so far off the pace? Bound to have been one of the worst showings in Tyrone senior championship in a long time.

Think they were beat before the ball was thrown in. Relegation all but secured and the prospect of going up against Omagh didnt give them much hope - that rain soon kill any notion of a turnaround. Plagued with injuries all year and boys on the field carrying knocks too I think. Manager situation less than ideal too. Not going to cut it at Senior Football.

Quote from: WT4E on September 13, 2025, 09:39:49 PMThought Hurson sore on Dungannon at times. Think there was a foul outside the arc near the end when 2 in it. Assume he was playing advantage (as looked like dungannon player was celebrating after the tackle) and dungannon where having a free pop at a goal. But overturned and no free.
Fairly sure the free was given there. The Dungannon man just used the tap and go and got bottled up. Not Hursons fault there

Is this a bitter Derrytresk man. Has he no sense when literally Derrytresk is in the parish of Clonoe surrounded by about 5 or 6 clubs themselves in one parish . Bitter man that there lol, Errigal Thirds making a mockery of them 😂

Bitter Derrytresk man this must be, my man must be clueless when Derrytresk is literally in Clonoe Parish Surrounded by 5/6 clubs. Sure you can transfer from Clonoe to Derrytresk and not be approved thinking you'd gonna win the championship lmao. Magee looks like a fool now should have stayed in Clonoe he'd have a better chance of winning the championship.

And FYI can you name the 10 so called Parishs....

Yourman66

Where's all the Galbally men today??

Went 7/7 in the legaue all talk about them going to win the championship..😂

Got made fool of by the local neighbours.

Donaghmore Lough the Game of The round in 2 weeks time hard to call

Poor Magee fella getting some touch here. Doubt the whole fuss there is a nonsense, surely with all the fuss during the week it would have been flagged if there was anything to it. Can't imagine his move from Clonoe to Derrytresk was for glory. Few salty boys for some reason.

Hard to side with EC IIIs on this though, bringing in a hape of new players stinks, why would they not have played the league. But you'd have to think it's the County Board that needs to front up really - how is it the rules seem so grey? Drumragh will be the next to raise a fuss if there's fire with the smoke...

Jerome

To be fair some of the Errigal III players weren't playing earlier in the year because they were still playing minor football.

According to my source from a person in EC. Them lads who came down did not participate in reserve championship, so therefore were effectively allowed to play Junior Championship, I Think EC have to make a cut for a Senior Panel and then they got dropped down. Also lead to believe they played the last 2 league games so they did infact play league games so....

Also they drafted in some of them young cubs who were playing minor football so no problem with that. Them young cubs was on their last year of minors so they would want to full commit to their final year of minors so.

Ovbs the County Board approved all so everyone should just move from this debate. County board approved it so Move on.

Who's gonna Win the O'Neill cup?
