Stop gurning. The ref gave Cargin two of the softest penalties you'll ever see and you're crying about him? Catch yourself on.

Take the Mark

Ref and linesmen were not an issue at all.

Hectic, Sarsfields, moneyglass and St endas are all in the same group along with lisburn and Rasharkin. The other group is the easier side of the draw.

I wasn't at the game but everyone knows a large pinch of salt is required when the Cargin contingent are complaining about referees.

In fairness Mick usually ref's the game pretty well.

Would ye whist

Mick was targeted throughout the whole game and the ref let it go, don't think he gave Mick a free all day and then had the cheek to book him for asking a question

I am 'Cargin contingent' - Would ye whist IS NOT.

No issues with the officials on Saturday.

Quote from: imtommygunn on July 21, 2025, 12:17:39 PMIt's a good stepping stone for less successful teams. League won't mean that much to Cargin but Ballymena on the up and will be a good boost for them.

Sounds like a needly enough match so would make it interesting if they played later in year.

Good to see the Conchuir Johnston putting the injuries behind him and playing well there. Hopefully he can get a run with the county too next year whoever the manager is.

Exactly right.

Don't think anyone should look down on teams pushing for the league (in whatever format). Delivering a league is a first step particularly for clubs with no history at the top table, the fact it's a straw competition for half the league isn't the winning teams fault.

Agree, but that's the Intermediate - it's the Junior that I said looks (on paper anyway) stacked on one side.

Hectic

I old enough, as probably are a good few on here, to remember Cargin's rough house approach to trying to win championships.

Maybe Ballymena just following their blue print.

Makes it funny listening to that particular complaint.

Ah right, my bad.  Will see about a revision.  Must have read the draw pots instead of the groups.
