He was  before my time. But I  watched the  Hell for Leather documentary lately  where it showed the Mickey Ned incident. There was  at least 3 bookings before  Doherty  got to him.  Jesus, it was a brutal act.  Mickey Ned said he  didn't come round  until 10pm that night.

I don't think Doherty was even booked! It was brutal. Was a few of that Dublin team were dirty hallions! Hanahoe some boy! Of its time I suppose...
