Thank god baker has brought his b team tonight

Hectic

Did that game finish?  Updates cut off before the end.

Didn't matter anyway as St Johns did what they had to do to see Aghagallon into the playoffs.

Would matter at the other end as it would determine Ballymenas position for the so prestigious league playoffs

Hectic

Lol.

Maybe we will get the result before bedtime then.

Game blew up with 2 mins to go for a pushing and shoving session. Not sure what happens now in terms of points. If Aghagallon win are they still in playoffs then?

Games arent blown up for 'pushing and shoving' sessions  ;D

Lurgan and Ballymena be well enough met towns in a pushing and shoving session.

how do Aghagallon finish in the bottom 4 if 4x teams are on 11 points and Pauls have the worst points difference?

Quote from: Antrim on June 28, 2025, 10:07:22 AMSame thing happening with Div 2 minor football. Gort too good for that league. All you get out of them is that they dont have any full U18 players. We are in the same league have been doing well but couldn't get near them. They are far too good for the league.

In saying that I don't like that you can play Div 1 and enter B Championship. St John's and Aldergrove both doing that. Should be a rule there to stop that.

It's being re-drawn this weekend due to the county accidentally missing some clubs, I assume these two are the clubs that were missed.

It is being redrawn. Aldergrove have moved up to Minor A but St Johns have remained in minor B.

I was looking at their results. Bar their first two games to the best two teams at that age, the have been really competitive putting up some big scores.

If St Galls, Glenravel, Aghagallon, Cargin and Aldergrove who are all below St Johns in the league can play Minor A, how is it fair on our players and the rest of the div 2 teams that St Johns are allowed to play in minor b?

head to head first, was like that in div 2 anyway so id imagine its the same rules. But this being antrim maybe not.

Aye they are. Sweep sweep 😉

Níl a fhios agam

my god whats going on with Rossa. theyve barely been able to field a reserve team this year and seniors are a complete shambles. Still have a strong group of players but their attitude towards competitive league football has been embarrassing as years. In saying that they could still stay up. They will bring in the cavalry for these playoffs and scrape to stay in div1 as usual.

Ahoghill i think have conceded the fact senior football is no longer for them. I had heard through the grapevine they are happy to continue on their way to intermediate and try and rebuild from there. An outstanding club, who for a generation had a small group of players competing in both codes at senior level. These type of stories will be unheard of in years to come as unfortunately the breed of the youth dont seem to have the same pride and commitment, and other things in life seem to take priority.
