Leagues on the back burner due to our county team's good fortunes or plough on with more starred games? August already fairly congested as it is

In the last 3 seasons Tyrone have been knocked out by this stage which worked out well with the 5 starred games. Now it's a problem and most likely a problem going forward in future seasons going by the talent that's coming through. Don't know how it can be resolved, but at same time you don't want the leagues becoming Mickey mouse competitions like in other counties.
Anyway looking at the Division 1 table you can't imagine the teams around the bottom will want to play on without their county players. Fianna in Division 2 probably can't afford many more defeats if they want to stay in the promotion places.

Are we not 7 x starred games next season or did I imagine that?

Could well be actually when thinking about it. Can mind there being different proposals at start of year but not sure now which one was passed. Was that the proposal with different points for winning a starred game v non starred game?

PMG1

Yes is 7 started games next year

W.A.G. Lover

Was it not 6 starred games if they got to the semi final and 7 starred games if they got to the final? So no games weekend of semi final is my understanding.

ClubScene13

Coalisland's next two games down as postponed now. At least they can be fitted in at some stage if your only talking about 2 games in a full division of football.

With senior - if Tyrone made the All Ireland final your hardly meant to fit 10 games of football into August? Might have to make an exception here and plough on with it.

GaaGPT

Was reserve championships not scheduled for this weekend?

RossaGael98

Coalisland the only club refusing to play without county men or could we still see more games being postponed?

The island wouldn't win intermediate if they had 10 county men so it'll hardly matter if they play or not

Sorry excuse of a club at the minute

Good story but not true:
That was decided at start of year. Because they are only club in Division 2 with county men: they only play 5 star games.

You never answered previous question I asked you: how many Dregish players are on that Naomh Eoghan first team? I'm told one... hardly an amalgamation.

Rebel84

the island be better playing on than waiting on tyrone's season to finish,
if tyrone make final they would have to play 10 league games in August with no guarantee their other county men won't pick up any injuries between now and then.

Hereiam

Will be a big challenge for Errigal to retain Tyrone never mind Ulster this year with the county team still in the All Ireland series.

Is johnny Lafferty the best Player in tyrone junior history ?
