;D  I'd say that stuff is 30 years old as I had hair and was 4 stone lighter when it was first out.

Quote from: The Boy Wonder on June 20, 2025, 09:56:30 PMI know that GaaBoard members have a wide range of sports interests - GAA, Rugby, Soccer, Golf etc.

I've had a passing interest in rugby since 5-Nations days when a try was only worth 3 points.
Down the years I've admired the great players - Serge Blanco my all time favourite.

Looking at the sea of red in The Aviva Stadium tonight - how are all these people so invested ?

It's not that long ago they were just The British Lions so you'd wonder.

Sport is and always has been (along with the reach-around) the great release. Surely rugby fans going to the game dressed in the colours of the Lions to watch a game doesn't merit an entry into the WTF thread?
Had a couple of brothers and a handful of nephews at it, all dressed in green right enough, they absolutely loved it. Big rugby fans too

Fair play - no problem at all with that.

Just an old curmudgeon channel hopping here.

Watching Faithless At Isle of Wright on Sky Arts HD now - the Kilfenora Céilí Band have more talent.

Faithless are a class act but I can imagine what they do wouldn't look or sound great on a live stage.

Kilfenora Ceili band are not bad either  ;D

If theres a trial for assisted dying I think he should take part!

Really? Sorcha Eastwood hasn't stopped talking about it all week. You'd think it is this huge pivotal moment in our lifetime that she is a part of. What is the point in ones from here voting on it??

Can't believe they've made a movie out of this.
I'll give a chance. The Damned United was a great movie imo and Saipan as big a story. Whole county was in the air bout Keane-McCarthy fall-out.
Michael Sheen was brilliant as Brian Clough. I'd have faith that Steve Coogan do the business as McCarthy. He was brilliant as Jimmy Saville albeit it was creepy/sinister.

Great quotation:
"There is a principle which is a bar against all information, which is proof against all arguments and which can not fail to keep a man in everlasting ignorance-that principle is contempt prior to investigation."
