I think that's a great bit of business by Brentford. I know players rarely move between the two, but United could have done worse than looking for him. A steady keeper at worst and potential to develop into a very good one imo.

I don't think too many number 2's (who have been number 2's for a long time) have done exceptionally well when moved on...

I'm not talking about turds by the way

Martinez?
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day. Tomorrow doesn't look good either

Perhaps not, but he's been number 2 to one of the top 3 keepers in the world, not to an average joe. And he's filled in well for the most part whenever he's been called on. I rate him, and sorry to see him go tbh. At one point I was even wondering if Liverpool should cash in on Allison and run with him as number 1. But on hindsight I think they made right decision sticking with Allison.
Time will tell but I think he could move on to a bigger club in nxt few years if he gets a run.

Or he could be an absolute dud...

Wish him the best. Leaves as a Premier League Champion, also has FA Cup, League Cup and Champions League winners medals, by far the most decorated player in the current Irish squad.
Brentford have got him for a good price also when you think the likes of Onana cost what £50 million or something?
Will get a very warm reception when he returns to Anfield with Brentford.
Some windfall for Ringmahon Rangers!
When you think you're fucked you're only about 40% fucked.

It's a good news story all round, everyone is happy. He's right, he is good enough to be a number 1 somewhere. Played a key role these last few years when Allison was out with injuries and sloted in great. Decent darts player too.
Wish him well.

Very good keeper and seems like a lad with a great attitude. Looking at his salary with Liverpool he was on peanuts compared to others, given he started his fair amount of games over the past 2 seasons.
That's just, like your opinion man.

J70

How much in the end? They were 13 million apart.

Some statement of intent from the club! Hope the lad can live up to the fee.

Don't even know J70, stopped looking at figures a week ago lol
(Plus why is it quoted in euros so often now)

Pool deffo been saving up for that one, hope he's as good as the price tag indicates. Kerkez now and we're well set, with possibly a few to come yet

gawa316

Chat of 150 mil yo-yo's total. Not sure the fixed price/add on breakdown

Blowitupref

€150m add-ons included according to Fabrizio Romano
Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

That's a frankly ridiculous transfer fee, and is really something of a step into the unknown for Liverpool. Are they going to become a galacticos club, with all the accompanying hubris? Or could he become their Messi?

I don't know. All I know is that when you scan the top 50 transfer fees of all time, there's clearly no correlation between transfer fees and success.
