I get your point, but it's a lot different a job than just taking the Senior team.
I don't care if either the Senior manager or the person for this role are inside or outside, the right person is a must either way.
My suggestion AFAIK has helped build Derry football dev squads back to competing for minor &  20 AI titles, had struck deals with funders for GAA staff in some colleges and schools in Derry.
More importantly, never did it alone, always seemed to bring (the right) people with him.
Not sure there are many in Antrim that have done that in GAA circles. what we have had in the past are men at CB level with great business knowledge, experienced maybe even in developing a business etc. but transferring that into creating the right coaching & development structures is something no County board has managed to do.
Hopefully hear soon of some good names going for it all the same and good luck to whoever gets it!

Agree with above, this is a big position and there won't be many with both essential and desired criteria. It's Croke Park led (not Antrim) so hopefully the net extends as far as it needs to go to get the right person. This is a huge appointment, and whoever gets it needs a lot of support.

Anyone got fancies for the championship groups ??

In no particular order of 1 or 2 but -

Cargin Dunloy
Portglenone Glenravel
Creggan St Galls
Agahgallon St Brigids

The only 1 I'd be doubting would be Glenravel

IFC

Moneyglass and Sarsfields top Group 1.
Group 2 a bit of a lottery but it matters not who gets out, Moneyglass and Sarsfields will meet in the final.

think you are basically spot on except I have a feeling Ballymena will go well in group 3 , what do you think ? Tough group to pick and 1 upset could shape the group completely

Div 1 championship

Creggan the team to beat, putting big score lines up missing key men who'll be back for championship if they get full out they'll be hard beat

Div 2 championships

I can't see anyone other than moneyglass. Lisburn and Sairsfields chasing in behind, then again moneyglass were big favs in 2019 and failed to follow through. So I could be made look a fool 😅

I said it before on here , I wouldn't be so quick to rule out Naomh Eanna , championship a different ball game

Would agree pretty much but Glenravel are hit and miss. I wouldn't be surprised if LD are in a relegation playoff!

Senior: Cargin
Intermediate: Moneyglass (Sars, Glenavy and NE all have a chance)
Junior: Aggies

Hoof Hearted

id guess that moneyglass and sarsfields will be in the semis. Going by league form ATM.
however, i reckon the 2 semi finals will be 50/50 games, whatever  come out of the other group.

Agree with you about Creggan, averaging about 30 points per game and will be bouncing back after a bad year in 2024.

It's Ulster Council led, so expect it to be somebody already on their books in a sideways move.

Is Jimmy Darragh still about?

U20 All Ireland final on at the moment.  We are serious levels away from this grade.   Operations role can't start soon enough.    Where do they begin though? So much to do

Aren't Creggan big scores mostly against lower half teams?

Ballymena to make it out of the group, Brigids to lose at quarter final stage, Cargin to lose at semi final stage after having a cake walk of a group and quarter final. PG1 to win it following the lose one to win one seen elsewhere.

A coach like Paul Devlin would be a big help. Louth probably the team you could take more inspiration from than Tyrone who are on another level to most counties.
