I think the whole thing is pure muck but it's entertaining so I'll keep watching.

It's like the TV show equivalent of a B movie. I still enjoy it though.
A B movie is a good call. I like most of the characters but Brosnan, Mirren and the fella playing Richie are just pure East End mobster clichés with 2 out of 3 having terrible accents.

Aye, Brosnan and Mirrens accents are poor but they nearly play their role as if it's a spoof.

The fella playing Richie is simply playing the same character he did in those English gangster films like The Busines and Green Street.

Captain Scarlet

I'm seeing a turn on The Last of US in terms of reviews, etc and I am catching up.

To be honest Ellie is a dose and the whole asshole bit wears thin considering the whole world is in bits and everyone in it is in the same boat.

Meanwhile Im setting up for the last of Andor.
Its an amazing show, even if you are not a Star Wars type.
them mysterons are always killing me but im grand after a few days.sickenin aul dose all the same.

TLOU2 had plenty of poor reviews before the first season even aired, but I've been more than pleasantly surprised with how good it is.

Most of the complaining has been about Bella Ramsay rather than the way the character is written. Ellie in the game isn't stupid or naive the way she's written here to an extent. She's utterly ruthless, meticulous and vengeful. Final scene of Sunday's episode maybe shows that transformation a bit.

Definitely not as good as first series, although that second episode was fantastic. The rest, good but not reaching the levels of S1 in my opinion. Slowed down quite a bit.

Season 1 wasn't great either.

Geoff Bell, can't ever see him in Hamlet but he knows what he's good at

Muderbot - sci-fi comedy on Apple tv, has been pretty good to date (3 episodes in).

That last scene in Mobland!! Jesus wept 🤦

About to start Mobland.. no spoilers!!
Just finished After Life... some of it hilarious also quite moving albeit a big ott on the sickly sweet sentimentality.. at times. Overall enjoyed it. Ricky Gervais has brilliant sense of humour..

Aye, awful.  Still enjoying it overall.

Rattled through TLOU at the weekend and I am now up to date. I'm not sure if it's Bella Ramsey or the character but something there is starting to get on my nerves.

Think Ramsey is terrific tbh. They've written the character quite differently from the game. In the game she's calm and professional. In the show they've written her a bit more scared, a bit less competent. She trembles more, her voice shakes more.

Finale felt very rushed to me but on the whole I enjoyed the season, although not as much as the first.

Parts of the finale were a bit of a mess IMO. All that stuff with the boat, island etc.

Ellie capsizing, landing on the island, getting captured, getting released and leaving in the space of about five mins was utterly pointless. The only thing I can think of is do demonstrate her care and empathy when she wanted to save the Seraphite kid compared to the even younger kid who would have had her gutted.

Miraculously, the boat washed up within yards of her. What were the chances? Very disappointing end to what was, on the whole, a disappointing season 2.
