Quote from: Wildweasel74 on May 11, 2025, 05:12:38 PMSee a video going round of a bad fight in a shop after the game yesterday, couple Armagh lads outnumbered by alot of Donegal lads. Can lads go nowhere these days and not get in a fight. Plenty video evidence for the Garda to sort out
looks like it was filmed on a potato.

Heard news report, sounds like a motor cyclist didn't stop at a check point.

There's a motorcyclist in their 30s in hospital too. Sounds like it's probably the same person. Awful stuff  :(

Weightwatchers have  filed for bankruptcy because of the rise in   weight loss jabs

Heard it from a few people lately , that  every other person seem to  be using  them

Seems like the  whole country has turned into clones of the  Kardashian's

People are buying them online with no idea if they are manufactured safely. I saw on the local news a while ago some doll ordered jabs online and the injectables came wrapped in a piece of kitchen roll. Unsurprsingly the contents of the syringes wasn't what they paid for. Wegovy and Ozempic are manufactured in multi-billiom dollar facilities so the real stuff won't be a tenner off the Internet.

Is Weight watchers not already gone, just Slimming World left.?

The wifes friend has lost a power of weight on some injection or the other and she was telling her that it was from Facebook marketplace.

Unreal.

Channel 4 news did a piece on these injections a week or so ago.  Apparently the same medication has been used  for treatment of diabetes for the last 20 yrs and they noticed they came accompanied with alot of weight loss.    So now approved for weight loss control on those seriously obese.  The consultant reckoned it was a case of weighing up the risks, pardon the pun.  Being obese obviously comes with alot of risk factors, therefore the medication may be the lesser of two evils for some.  The problem comes when someone who isn't obese wants to lose a few stone to look like someone in a magazine.

A neighbour got prescribed one of them a 4 or 5 years ago during Covid  before it was "a thing". People thought she had cancer such was her rapid weight loss. It obviously works.

Problem with Ozempic and Mounjaro (not sure if that's the spelling) is when you are on it long term it reduces your bone density so you get frail, look at some celebs can barely walk or look horrible from being on it long term.

You'd need to be doing a cycle like if you're taking Steroids/Tern where you go on it for a certain length of time then off it for a period and repeat. For it to be done safely in my opinion by the average joe

Sharon Osbourne would put anyone off taking it.
