Quote from: Turf on April 17, 2025, 07:05:51 AMMichael Gaine the missing farmer from Kerry.
What the hell happened him?
Such a strange case

Is he still not found? Did i read his wallet was sitting in the car outside the shop. So he never even made it that far.
Has been upgraded to a Homicide case now so they must have got some information in to change it from a missing persons case.

That's a bit strange that story alright.

I think he was last saw on CCTV getting a phone top up in town but his vehicle was found back on farm.

You'd think they could get more CCTV from the town.

Edit: they've looked through 2, 200 hrs of footage.

The authorities must have some sort of information on this to launch the operations they have so far.
The American tenant staying on the farm is the main suspect. They probably needed a warrant to start tracking his phone activity.

You'd think, in this day and age, girls shout be allowed to wear shorts.

I know there was a vote but who voted against it?

The Camogie Association Congress last year, that's who and the Down delegates to that are women.

Some morons on social media blaming the ref and the "stuffy suits in the GAA"...

Mad stuff JC.

There'll be another vote in a few years and it'll go through but in the meantime...not fair on the girls.

On that actually, I think it's crazy that the goalie in camogie has to wear the same jersey as the outfield players.

Are there any different rules governing camogie goalkeepers that would require different jerseys?

Blowitupref

Richard Satchwell one evil piece of work.

QuoteA phone linked to Richard Satchwell, who told gardai that he kept the body of his wife Tina in a freezer before burying her beneath their home, posted an ad on Done Deal reading "Large chest freezer free to take away, working perfect just needs a clean" days after her alleged murder, his trial has heard.

Is the ref going to finally blow his whistle?... No, he's going to blow his nose

What an absolute plonker.

Surely he's guilty of perjury, wasting the courts time or something.

There needs to be something to prevent spurious claims like this.

I would have thought this would be an issue within his job. Suing your boss fraudulently is not a good plan when you have been boasting about climbing mountains on social media. Some people have no sense, putting your job at risk for damages for only €60,000 is insane.

To be fair it's an interesting story and the 2 culprits are absolute cretins. What is worrying is they will probably get sent away for years- good stuff yet other crimes of late seem to get dealt with very lightly

I often laugh at the €60k claim on these articles. 99% of the claims are for 10-15k but as they are issued in the Circuit Court the max they can be awarded is €60k.

I would think that there is definitely a disciplinary issue here and hope the **** gets taken out by the roots!
