How where Glenravel so close to Cargin the other night where they off the boil?

Aldergrove and ballymena will be a good game indeed

Moneyglass sarsfields in division 2 looks like the best of the games tomorrow.

Pat shivers Jamie Gribbin John Mcnabb Mick McCann and Kevin O'Boyle are the only men that started against PG1 the other night that also started in the 2018 final.

People can talk about Cargin coming to an end but right now, they're top of the pile and talk is cheap. Somebody needs to get the big boy pants on and finish the job. Look at how many times they've come through extra time. They're a talented team but mentally, in Antrim, there's nobody close.

Pat did not but the others are right

Take Mick, Tomás, Kobo and Big Gerard out of that team and put them in any team in the top 8 and they'd probably win the championship. Even at this age they are still the cream of the crop, generational footballers.

The closest team aren't even regarded as a football club  ;D

I would have thought that would be a starting point for a look in general at Antrim football.

Would the surprise factor be gone from Dunloy now?   the likely championship challengers would be better prepared to their threats than a couple of years ago.

Could well be, but I meant in general would be a worry for any Antrim football supporter.

Dunloy are not challenging for the senior football championship.

They had the element of surprise a couple of years ago but were easily accounted for in the final by a team playing a man down for two thirds of the game.

Any challenge over the next few years is going to come from St Brigids.

Creggan or Portglenone might have another kick but I don't think either have been bringing enough through consistently.

St Galls are interesting.

League form means nowt, we are miles behind those teams that have out performed us these last 6 years, sure we couldn't get out of a group recently

Not thinking St Galls this year.  But they seem to be developing some good young players.  They are also a club with plenty of winners about the place to guide. Interesting.

Spike

a while back I thought St Galls were done.  Whisper it quietly, but they may be slowly on the road back.  will get a better look at them in the next few weeks

Hard to disagree with any of this
